  • A local street playground in Italy, with the mandatory kicking of a worn out soccer ball…. just love sitting back waiting for something aesthetic to happen…

  • Dear William; Well honey its been 9 days I have been down here in the submersible, I’m studying the dolphins this month. I wish you were here to see them all interacting, its just amazing. They dont seem to be bothered with my presence anymore. / Ive been studying these beautiful creatures daily and the team wants to test their certain abilities and game behavior. We placed large cubed objects on the floor of the ocean to which they could be tested for long extended periods of time. It didnt take long until they did accept the objects, or even the lights going on when they entered them. Our little friends appeared to love this one in front of me the most and are joyously entertaining themselves daily with little games like, who can could turn through the cube the quickest. The elders are less likely to join in but remain near by. Perhaps their knowledge of such non sea elements are considered a breach of territory or considered a possible threat. / Well I better get back to work….Talk soon! / . / . / . / Journal Entry: June 12th, 2012 / Day 9…. / Quadrant 8 / Subjects: Ling’s Pod / Time: 2:34pm / Grouping: Ling’s pod has remained since dropping the cubes. No other pods have appeared. / Territorial Issues: Ling appears watchful of outside interference, even small fish / Flashing Light Reactions: Adults still unsettled, young adults intriqued / Gaming: The young adults appear most engaged while others try but end quickly, still unsure why / Emotional Stress: None at this time / Time of Cubing Interactions: Mostly between 10am & 4:40pm, seems feeding schedules counter the play activity. ©2007 Lisa C. • Acrylic on stretched canvas.

  • Taken at sunset, at one of Adelaide’s beautiful beaches, in South Australia.

  • This shot happened quite serendipitously while taking another shot (see Dawn – Sealers Cove). For me it perfectly encapsulates the ideal of what our relationship with nature should be. A simple, childlike, and playful appreciation of natures beauty both mentally and physically. • :) / I was at the park with Thalia.. and she and this girl who must be about 13 years old.. dressed up in her sunday clothes, as mom was at the church service being held in the open air at this park…. you could hear the music, and the people were dancing and praising.. Thalia nd her were playing with each other, just doing things as climbing the monkey bars, and sliding down the slide. they never spoke to one another at all .. Thalia, who was three at the time, just followed her, happy to be near someone so willing to just let her be around her and play.. ... smiles. Fort Myers, Florida sony DSC P 200 compact camera

  • I visit my mom once a year, for about two weeks. And I spend time trying to capture things, the way I remember them. Things that do not exist anymore. Things that remind me of my childhood, and the times gone by. Today, I took out stuff from mom’s pantry. Some of it goes back to my grandmother, maybe even before that…

  • Oh the memories. I walked this beach many times when I was pregnant with my first child. Then, as the child grew into a toddler, there were many happy hours spent on this beach as the little one played in the tide pools with his mom and dad. Pregnant with my second child, I walked this beach again. While the memories are sweet, I still recall how we often had this beach all to ourselves, like a private hide-a-way. Thirty-six years later and taking my grown children to this beach, what joy to find that this place still remains pristine.
