Not sure entirely why, but something about this angle on this fallen tree somewhere down Point Elizabeth walkway intrigued me. Because of where I took the picture, you could almost think this tree was still upright and I was standing at the base, looking up. But then you see the other trees around it standing up straight as you would expect. Point Elizabeth is a stunning bush walk that takes you from the far north end of Cobden beach, which is a suburb of Greymouth on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island, through wonderful bush and stunning views of the ocean from high cliffs, out to the beautiful Rapahoe Beach. If you are ever in the area, make sure you set aside an afternoon on a fine day to do it.
