  • Looking through the bus window on the way home, I see this playful movement of light and dark shades, between leaves and branches. It is a moment to be captured. Real image with no additional painting… The light painted it on my camera’s ccd sensor! I have set the camera on manual zoom, manual speed and aperture, so that the motion can be capture on shutter release. Behind the glass window of a moving bus, I hunt for the right angle of sun and the right tree, and follow throught the target like taking an image of a sport player. All about timing and a bit of luck! Love to see critiques and comments. All welcome. • Here is the image following ‘Red Ribbon’. My little girl worked out how to open the heavy back gate and thought she could escape into the big park at the back of our new house. • Spring Forest at Sunset As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS It is most fun for me to play with light, and color…... / This was shot looking directly into the light of the low setting sun, as the gold colors were shinning through a rising fog cloud, and illuminating the new spring buds, and leaves. I like the Golden Hue! / As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS

  • Sales of this design so far – 1 sale / / / Summer Heat is a mixed media production on Canson Me-Teintes textured pastel/mixed media paper…. being December in Australia we are experiencing some very warm weather, today the beach was at it’s most gorgeous, this painting is inspired by the sultry salty warm days by the beach we love at this time of year, and the beautiful hues of the water when it’s still like a milk pond as it was this morning :) In the background is an icecream van set up by the beach, which has caught the little one’s eye and she’s waving to the vendor. I’ve used pastels and charcoal, both white and black varieties, as well as pencil and black Faber Castelle markers The original work is available unframed for $220, but it is not so bright and in softer hues… this piece has been enhanced a bit in photoshop

  • To give you an idea of scale on those roots – this old man of the forest (300+ yrs old) – made an ideal obstacle course for this little girl. This tree has managed to survive the growth of the city and is pretty much close to the center of Bangalore.

  • Grosso modo, the story continues this way: / Quietly, one day the daughters are sitting embroidering , until Angustias rushes furiously back into the room. Someone has taken her picture of Pepe from under her pillow. Bernarda, hearing the commotion, enters and demands to be told which sister is the thief. Strangely, it is Martirio who has hidden it in her bed, a joke on her sister, she says. Adela is enraged with jealousy and even tells Angustias that Pepe only wants her for her money. Bernarda, after attempting to hit Martirio, screeches at them to stop and orders them away. She is obeyed as usual. / Later, Poncia, the maid, tries to warn Bernarda that Pepe is the cause of all the troubles in the house and must be married quickly. Bernarda refuses to accept this. Poncia tells her he is really Adela’s sweetheart and asks that they marry. Again Bernarda dismisses her suggestion. Angustias returns and in talking, the three realize that Pepe has been leaving Angustias at one, but not leaving the house till four in the morning. It is Adela he is with, as only Poncia knows. / Only three days remain till Angustias and Pepe are to marry. She expresses her worry to Bernarda that he seems distracted. Her mother advises her to ask him nothing and say less, and to never let him see her cry. Angustias is unhappy but cannot fathom why. Later, the women have a quiet evening, quite peaceful and Pepe is not expected _ he´s supposed to be away on a trip. But, as people begin to settle for the night, Adela slips out to the corral (stable) in order to meet Pepe again. Main scene is an original cinema4D render; just blended a bit of a wall layer in postwork. f you wish to read this play in English, click here: / House Of Bernarda Alba Here are the previous images for this series; if you want to know more about the play that inspired these works, please, follow the links. / / 1) House Of Bernarda Alba / / 2) Martirio / / 3) Angustias / / 4) Magdalena y Amelia

  • sales of this design so far – 1 sale / / / I hope you like my little environmentally friendly girl….her name is Tree Just a wee little scribble i did late last night, with the idea of creating a tshirt design see the tee Created primarily with pencil on a brown paper school lunch bag, next used a black marker to define outlines, finally filled in with white nail polish and white ink. Background created digitally.

  • This is a drawing inspired by a moment I shared with my boyfriend last Autumn. We were walking along a path which had lots of trees on both sides, and leaves were constantly falling down, blown around by a soft breeze. And we started playing a game to try and see who could catch a falling leaf first. I won. =P Cardboard underground covered in crumpled paper that I painted over with coloured ink and ecoline (liquid watercolours). All characters and objects drawn and painted on normal paper with coloured ink and ecoline and then glued to the background. =)
