Great friends, great fun !!!!!!- the colors represent happiness. A natural portrait of friends having fun in the sun :]
Here’s one of my oldest son at the beach right before a storm.. I love the cloud formations.
I did this piece very quickly . It was drawn at A3 size. Scanned in and colored at 600dpi. It’s full of detail and includes dome of my favorite things in the world around me. I’ve entered it into a local exhibition competition. There was no theme other than giving designers a chance to express themselves anyway they want to. The greatest and most perfect designs are all around us. The animals, the plants, the mountains…everything that is naturally formed. These are the things I admire the most. The beauty of fauna and flora, the dead or alive. Perfect and not by design…it just is. Play and Worship
Here is a photo of my little girl with her best friend still from my very girly series. I really liked the finished photo because to me it shows that a friendship would be the same 100 years ago as it is today.. Quite timeless so I would love to hear some feedback :o) Basia
Here is a photo of my youngest two. My little girl was cold at the beach so her bigger brother gave her cuddles to keep her warm and I was there to catch it.
I liked this image of my little girl as, to me it’s a simple and dreamy capture of childhood where it’s always happy, uncomplicated with bright colours, fluffy white clouds and sparkly light.
Ink, some graphite and charcoal on paper. Robert Johnson was truly the grandfather of blues. Inspiring such musicians as Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters and the Rolling Stones. His music has deeply affected my love for blues and music in general. My portrait of Robert is a small tribute to the amazing body of work he produced. Through every layer of pencil and every stroke of my hand, I tried to capture the essence of Mr. Johnson onto paper. I depicted every detail in my portrait, from the old curtain hung behind him to the design on the blanket he sits on. Each pinstripe was painstakingly reproduced as well as the weathering on his guitar. My desired end result is that you will feel like you are looking at an aged photo of Robert Johnson. I believe when you truly study this piece you will hear his music and see the richness of his character portrayed in through my pencils. Capturing my oldest boy playing chess against my dad, his grandad during the week. This is also a follow on from ‘chess master’. Do you think he is stressed or just thinking.. Maybe a bit of both.
This image was printed using liquid light. / This is a silver-based sensitizer for applying on any surface, exposing by an enlarger, and processing in conventional chemistry. It is virtually the same emulsion found on ordinary photographic paper, but in a liquid form and can allow the emulsion to be coated on a wide range of surfaces. / Here I have applied the liquid light using a brush to scrap metal and once it was dried exposed it with the enlarger. It was then developed, fixed and washed similar to any photographic paper. / The final piece of scrap metal was then stuck onto painted pine to be displayed. / The image you see before you is then a digital photograph of the displayed piece. The original photograph used to create this piece can be found here Some more images created using liquid light
Selfportraiture triptych taken one year ago.
[portrait taken in Natural Light] : 16/11/2008 [AS IS] I was walking from one village to the next, in Remote Nigeria. one of the team noticed this young girl following us for some time. I stopped and spoke to her through an interpretor. We learned that she was 13 years old and caring for three younger Sisters. As she told us here story, I Felt compelled to return to her village. There we met her three younger sisters in the most extreme poverty. Both Parents were dead and no other living relatives. We spoke to the village Chief and the elders who pleaded with us to help the family. We did, as God lead us to and blessed her with clothing, and the following day we sent two of our field workers to meet with her and now they have a small regular income from our mission funds. UPDATE 5-8-2009. Mary is now at School. We pay her school fees adn her three younger sisters are well and happy. We need help with Susan, aged 9. She wants to go to school also. We need help with school fees, uniform adn text books. Can you help? will you Help? Otters have long, slim bodies and relatively short limbs, with webbed paws. Most have sharp claws on their feet, and all have long muscular tails. They have a very soft underfur which is protected by their outer layer of long guard hair. This traps a layer of air, and keeps them dry and warm under water. Most otters have fish as the primary item in their diet, supplemented by frogs, crayfish and crabs. Some are expert at opening shellfish, and others will take any available small mammals or birds. Otters are playful animals, for example sliding repeatedly down snowy slopes, apparently from sheer enjoyment. Click on Magazines above ! I will donate 100% of proceeds from the sales of this image to the: “WSPA” “Otter-ly cute ! .........” was featured in Top Shelf Wildlife & Nature” group …
