This is a picture of the plaque that sits on the very top of Mount Snowdon (1085 metres high). I took the Pyg track up and came down the Miner’s track. We were stupid as we set off at 1pm on the hottest day of the year – which was so silly…it made the walk/climb/scramble harder but well worth it when we reached the summit!!
Three pieces of a wooden Buddah plaque.
Extreme close-up of a sign-post for a Road/ street . / The road/ street sign-post is for ‘Armley Grange Drive LS12’. its THE nice part of Armley with nice well looked after homes and gardens, and very rustic. Its a good place to wander around for photographs. Focal length – 48mm / F/11
Photographed 0n 7 March 2009 at Kensal Green Cemetery. This photograph is, as far as I can ascertain from the many damaged plaques embedded in the wall, above a crypt… I did discover a brick lined hole in the ground that appeared to go quite deep… I didn’t investigate too long but will be back! This colonade was until recently, extremely overgrown. It has been cleared out by people doing “Community Payback”. Unfortunately in the past, it has been subject to vandalism with memorials smashed and obscenities scratched into the pillars. Still, I think its a splendid space and another fascinating part of this incredibly interesting North West London Cemetery. Canon 10D / 1/250th sec @ f4.5 / 35-135mm lens @35mm / ISO 200

Adding some detail and finishing the plaque. I used a mix of lamp black oil paint and liquin to bring out the wording. Once that was dry I used a gloss varnish to coat the entire plaque adding an extra heavy coat to the pewter inlay. The eight numbered and signed pieces will be sold at the Annual 1928 Costume Ball with all of the proceeds going to help preserve this historic institution.
