Rain drops on the swamp vegetation “Parrot’s Feather” after a shower
this is a flower with some off looking pods that also have a certain amount of beauty.
this large mushroom was in my yard and i almost stepped on it unawares.
This is one of my favorite shots. It was taken early in the morning after a cool night that cause condensation on all the plants in the area. I had to get the shot before a light breeze would cause the water droplets to fall.

A photograph I took, while I was hiking through parts of the Magoebaskloof forest in the Limpopo Province, South Africa.

A photograph I took of a Tree Fern and other plant life at Magoebaskloof, Limpopo Province, South Africa. / Cyathea dregei, also known as the Common Tree Fern and Gewone Boomvaring in Afrikaans, is a widespread species of tree fern native to Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar and South Africa from the Western Cape province to KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga. It grows on stream banks, in forest margins and in grasslands. Plants are most common at an altitude of 900-1800 m. The erect, stout trunk is up to 5 m tall and 20-45 cm in diameter. It is sometimes branched. Fronds are bi- or tripinnate and may reach 3 m in length. They are characteristically large and arching, with the lowest pinnae usually reduced. The upper surface of fronds is glabrate, while the lower surface may be tomentose. The rachis and stipe are brown in colouration and have a rough surface. The stipe is covered in brown scales. Up to twelve sori occur per group per pinnule. C. dregei is a variable species, usually having a thick trunk and dense crown. In the wild, it is known to be fire resistant.
Golden rays of sunlight / Turns to shades of green / The life that it incites / To all it can be seen / / Light finds the leaf attractors / It’s photons grabbed and bound / Sent to the plant’s reactors / That work without a sound / / The chlorophyll then swaps / Some air for carbon gas / And also grows it’s crops / Of sugar in great mass / / This abstract fractal artwork was inspired by the natural energy process of photosynthesis that a plant uses to convert carbon, water, and sunlight into oxygen and the sugars it uses as food. A truly solar powered being that inhabits our Earth. It was motivated by a nickname, ‘Chlorophyll’, that another bubbler gave me due to another artwork I did about this subject. Plant life always inspires many things in my life, as they hold the solutions to many of the problems we impose on nature as a species. / / It was meant to portray the action of the sunlight being converted by the plant, and fueling it’s growth. This fractal was created in ChaosPro, and the gradient was created in the ChaosPro gradient editor. This is a pure fractal with no post-processing. The original is 6000×4800 pixels at 300 pixels per inch, so all the really fine details are not viewable over the internet. / /
We are lucky to have several rivers, and lakes around us – unfortunately a few kilometers to the Sea so when I need a water fix we go to the rivers or lakes instead – we found this rather pretty river that finishes in a big lake last Autumn in a lovely little Hamlet just near St. Sauvant Forest.
Standing solitary in a field it is pictured releasing its seeds to the winds.
