Bass Lake Retreat, Holly Springs, NC. This is a public park managed by the town of Holly Springs. They stock it with fish and have built a wonderful bird sanctuary island in the middle of the lake. Part of the sanctuary is observed in the picture above. This photo was captured soon after the sun vanished behind the trees. /

Felt tip pen on catrtidge paper 2009 I was poking around the veggie garden the other day, to see if we were EVER going to get any eggplants (apparently not) and the leaves really intrigued me. I took one inside and later that week was doodling away at work….this is the result.
