A gerber daisy grabs the sun with a burst of color.
Inspecting sunflower fields one day ….all alone for acres… I felt them leaning in and staring at me….they are huge, creepy. I took this photo at noon… using 35mm and 125 film. When I looked at it on the monitor they reminded my of war torn soldiers.

It’s sunflower season again, here in the land of smiles. To celebrate this most auspicious of events, my dear wife Roong drags me out of bed at some ungodly hour to go get some photos. Sunflowers are at their best in the morning. In the afternoon, they start to droop a bit. But, don’t we all.
