THIS IS A FIRST FOR ME.. A THREE WAY!! / IT HAS BEEN SUCH A TRILL TO BED DOWN WITH LINDA R AND ANTHONY R. PLASTINO III ...NO NOT LITERALLY IN BED SILLY.. WE HAD A 3 WAY COLAB.. AND OHHH IT WAS SO GOOD.. HERE ARE THE RESULTS.. I TOOK LINDA R’S PIECE..DIAMONDS AT DUSK / AND ANTHONY’S PIECE IRIS / I PUT MY TAKE ON HOW THEY WOULD LOOK SIDE BY SIDE AND ADDED SOME LINAJI TOUCHES ..BUT FOR ME THE MIRACLE WAS I HAD IRIS ON THE BRAIN BECAUSE OF MY TWO COMPANIONS HERE AT RB.. AND WROTE THIS POEM I TRULY ENJOYED WRITING CALLED THOUGHTS ON IRIS Iris lips / Iris love, / deep / soft / rich / My mother loved them / And a man called Mitch, / Bunches he would send / for our kitchen table / Just by the weekend, / Bunches there would be / By her bed / By her box of buttons, / needles and thread, / Iris laughing and loving too / From a Man and a Woman / Who, / Made me feel special and a part of them / But it always seemed that on Sunday / I called it Irisday then, / When up the stairs they came / With the comics and some pancakes / And a single stem, / An Iris from I knew where, / By the bed of love, / They did share, / And all at once I felt the heat / I felt a family we were complete / So now as I look back and feel / My times with Mother and Mitch / My times with all that was real, / I owe my Sundays and my Mondays too / When I awoke to its purple hue, / I learned to just lay there / And look to this / Flower, / To feel it’s life and it’s love and it’s power / For it seemed as a child I saw / The magic in Iris was the magic of awe / That life itself in a single stem / Can bring much happiness now / As it did then Linaji 2008

This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. As always I can not say often enough how wonderful the Redbubble community is and how happy I am to have found it during it’s infancy so that I may grow along with it into a more complete and accomplished artist! / / / / Portfolio Areas / / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

This is one of the flowers from my show and poems for her. What did you want as you walked with me as I held your hand in mine? / What did you think that I would be as I held your hand in mine? / What did you hope for as we strolled along walking hand in hand? / What was this special look that you gave me as you start to smile? / What was that little sparkle in your eyes as you said that you were mine? / What was it that you wanted from me the first time that we met? / You never say a word about what you did expect. / What was it that you whispered in my ear last night? / As I pushed deeply in your body as you held me very tight! / What were those little words that came so fast so swift as we made love last night? / Like little smiles and special kisses and just a soft kind touch. / What was it that you expected from me as you held my hand? / I think you wanted someone there who understood your dreams. / Someone who would take the time to hold you close and dear. / Someone to say your everything that I’ll ever need. / And even when we’ve had a fight you’ll still be all I need. / I think you wanted someone to love and be there for all time. / I think you wanted someone who would stand there by your side. / I think you wanted this man to say all the things that make you smile. / And what was that that you said to me as we made love last night? / After all these years we’ve been together and through all the little storms. / I smile to think you can say these words after all these years. / Well I can say them very clear I feel them in my heart I’ll repeat exactly what you said as you held me close last night. / You whispered in my ear my wife these words I hold so dear….. / “My love for you will never stop until my dying days”. / What was it that you wanted as you held my hand that first day? / It looks to me that all you wanted….............. was me.

pop and grow…every colour of the rainbow!

Origin and Introduction: / Passion Flower, whose genus name is passiflora, is a naturally grown medicinal herb, approved by the German Commission E in the treatment of insomnia and nervousness. It is also used as a sedative in nervous disorders (including gastrointestinal complaints of nervous origin), difficulties in sleeping, and anxiety or restlessness. Passion Flower reduces spasms and depresses the central nervous system. Passion flower is also known as maypop. It is a woody vine with flowers which reminded early pilgrims of the passion or suffering of Christ. The plant produces small berry-like fruit called granadilla or water lemon. The aerial parts of the plant are gathered during fruiting season and then dried for future processing. Habitat: / The plant is indigenous to an area from the southeast U.S. to Argentina and Brazil. Anti-anxiety: / Passion flower has a tranquilizing effect, including mild sedative and anti-anxiety effects. In studies conducted since the 1930’s, its mode of action has been found to be different than that of most sedative drugs (sleeping pills), thus making it a non-addictive herb to promote relaxation. This is another of the flowers from my show and poems for her. I am not too big on the opera or the ballet but you wanted to go so I went with you. / I dressed up like you said I wore your favorite suit. / You pulled out something I had never seen you looked so good to me. / We called a cab to take us there you wanted to relax. / You said my driving would kill the mood so we took a cab that night. / The cab ride was a different feeling I felt like we were rich. / The two of us going to the ballet driven in cab. / I opened up the door and took a step out, and took your hand my darling wife you looked so good tonight. / And as we walked to the door to this holy place I took one final look at my lovely wife. / You looked so happy to be here it made me smile inside. / To see you standing in the line to finally get inside, I asked myself why had I hated that this night would come. / What was my problem about this was it just my hangup? / Here I was going to the ballet to watch some men in tights, / jump an twirl like little girls while they pranced on stage that night. / But as we entered into the room the place was one delight. / Lit in all kinds of gold lights and velvet on the walls. / It gave the feeling of royalty and you were the queen tonight. / We took our seats and your lovely eyes were glued to everything. / Like a little girl in a doll shop your eyes told everything. / Oh how you looked at all the people coming in the place and noted to me all the details engraved on all the walls. / You didn’t miss a moment of this lovely night. / But most of all you really shined when the dancers came out. / They pranced and twirled and did all types of movements. / I saw a different vision of these men in little tights. / They did all types of leaps and twirls to the classics that night. / I have to say what they did was more than I had thought, anyone could do with a mortal body. / But oh the evening was all your as I sat and looked at you. / Your shining eyes and lovely glow was brighter than the lights. / And as they danced away the night I could hear your every breath. / You were caught in every movement made as if it was you dancing. / Oh this was worth all the pain to dress up and come with you. / To only see your smiling face I would do it all again. / This evening showed me that a man can dance with silly tights and have more women fall in love with them than a macho man. / Your loving heart has showed me one more thing that I might of missed. / And as I think about tonight I am glad that your my wife.

This flower grows on a vine here in Florida. I have my passion flowers growing on a trellis. This was a photo I shot several mornings ago. This is a purple variety of the passion flower vine growing in my backyard. It’s very fragrant and also attracts the Gulf Fritillary Butterflies. / Best Viewed Enlarged
