“The gloss in each grain shows a rainbow of colours unthinkable of in a corncob. Each grain has its own peculiar pattern with an intrinsic design in it. Scintillating like polished round marbles, they exude life and vibrancy. Golden hues, brown, black dissolving into copper, mauve turning into magenta, pink mixed with orange … myriad combinations bring to life the glorious colours of Indian Corn. / / Each grain weaves a pattern in a tapestry meticulously designed. Piled casually upon each other on a farm stand, these corncobs make a delightful array of surprising beauty.” / / / Read more about Indian Corn in my written article: / / Indian Corn- Nature’s Kaleidoscope.
“This artwork of Nature made me halt at a farm stand to contemplate it. Its vibrant red colour and the clean round shape was a beauty in itself. Yet, it was the tip which I found most whimsical. With black stripes running away from it like a star, the tip made a pretty design at the bottom of the pumpkin.” / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. “Which one is prettier?. Which one has the most intricate design?. Which one is redder?. It is impossible to talk in superlative terms when each pumpkin is of extreme beauty and originality. / / This vast array at a farmstand made me spend hours rejoicing in the striking beauty of these simple yet graceful round, whimsical plants.” / / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. No big description for this one.. just a “cute photo”
“She lay quietly among other flowers. As if unaware of her intense beauty, she humbly shared a crowded stand in a farm. She whispered by my ear and I turned. My eyes were filled with her regal colours as my heart halted. Her glowing face nodded at me. / / I indulged myself in the contemplation of her sheer beauty, her intricate face, her lovely petals and her delicate patterns. I wondered whether she was missing the feeling of warm damp soil, the company of foliage and the caress of misty rain”. / / / During my travels in Thailand and Cambodia, I reveled in the extraordinary and fragile beauty of the Orchid. “Maize, a basic staple. Yet, glorious Indian Corn colours grace autumnal days. Each grain weaves a pattern in a tapestry meticulously designed. Piled upon each other on a farm stand, the rich colours of the corn ears make a delightful array of surprising beauty. / / I find inspiration in the simple elements of Nature by discovering, at a closer look, their elaborated forms, their patterns and intricacies, their sheer beauty. They teach me a lesson on survival, too. The colour in the Indian Corn grains is governed, each, by a different gene. The pigment may aid in the defense against diseases, hence, a wide array of colours in a single corn ear raises the chances of survival.” / / / Read more about Indian Corn in my written article: / / Indian Corn- Nature’s Kaleidoscope. / / / / Image © Carmen Mandel-Cesáreo / / / —-—-—-—-—-——- / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. I found these beauties inside the Bellagio Hotel Conservatory. This is a remarkable themed display that changes periodaclly. They use all real flowers to make ladybugs and creatures of all kinds. More flowers at: www.shalamarimages.com
This beautiful Poppy was also found in the Conservatory at the Bellagio Hotel Las Vegas Nevada. It’s hard to believe that such a stunning flower can produce the most powerful narcotic on the planet. Wars are fought over fields of Poppies in afgahnastan and Turkey where the bulk of opium is produced and exported from worlwide. More flowers at: www.shalamarimages.com

Humans depend on nature and are subject to it. Anything that happens to nature or that we do, it will affect us so we must take care of it and preserve it. Do not play with nature because it’ can be as good with as dangerous.
