So I am yet again cramming a semester full of ideas into a journal to submit with my photography folio, wondering why I am doing this to myself again Then it struck me, how many artists actually keep a creative journal that they add to all the time as a way to expand on their ideas. I seem to have little notes written on torn bits of paper spread from my car to my desk, but mostly it is pretty much all stored away in my head…. I am a doer rather than a planner. I would like to know how other people work. Please Share.

It’s just over half way through the year and I promised myself to try some new things artistically during 2008. I have a tendency to expect a lot from myself so I guess this is my way of keeping on track and at the same time acknowledging what I have achieved so far. Completed / - Underwater Photography / - Polaroid Photography / - Taking photos I have zero interest in for money to see how it feels / - Self Portraits with no make-up / - Time Lapse & Star Trail Photography / - Studio Work / - Fashion Photography / - Product Photography Still to Go / - Holga Fun / - Processing my own film / - Have 2 consecutive weekends with free time / - Get a large number of people together in one place to make art 5 months and 4 more things to tick off my list. I’m getting there

I’m going to sell up every shitty material thing I own including the house, garden flat and the meth lab, and I’m going to join a reservation some place in America amongst an ancient American Indian tribe. I’ll be a Teacher or something like that there, Clinton is in for the idea too – any other interested bubblers? Does anyone know of a Tribe that has managed to retain most of its traditional customs and practices? One that hasn’t become completely corrupt by white invasion, domination and assimilation? I have no idea what the protocol or procedures are for joining and cohabitation amongst a group of indiginous people, all I know is that I’m sick to death of white hypocrisy, beaurocracy, greed and bullshit. I’m going to do a bit of research and contact some people, if you know anyone who you can put me in touch with, please let me know, it sure beats my last little experiment where I advertised for a terrorist pen pal, which, incidentally got my ass kicked off of MySpace. when I only wanted to see how a terrorist ticked, from a journalistic perspective, and to do a photo story. Ah well, the Reservation plan seems more promising and practical, so if you can throw any info my way that might be of use, either comment here or email me at: jennifer.b.poetry@gmail.com Jennifer B / is moving / you see. Play List Of course, the first thing I need to do is Get Out Of This Loony Bin… Because it aint No Holiday… We’ve gotta get outta this place if it’s the last thing we ever do… xox
Yesterday I spent half the morning listening to a Shrin…
Yesterday I spent half the morning listening to a Shrink telling me how I needed to ‘get out and about more’, and the other half waiting for permission to be ‘allowed’ to go out for a short walk – so I got pissed off and absconded. Coincidentally, while I was walking around the local shopping mall I came across a Central American Native Indian group of men playing music with mandolins, pipes and flutes, (Thanks Clinton for the geography lesson, I had no idea Ecuador was in Central America). Kind of like this Music It was coincidental because lately I’ve been feeling a strong pull towards the Native American culture and a yearning to live on a Reservation. / I’ve just felt like selling up all of the materialistic trappings and other millstones which weigh me down and running away to live a non-materialistic life on a Reservation some place. So it was kinda weird to stumble across the men in the photograph above, particularly as I’d left the Unit without consent and was more than likely going to pay dearly for doing so when I got back, (which in a way I have as they’re cutting back the hours I’m allowed home on leave and are scheduling me into numerous, boring, Occupational Therapy Group sessions, ugh). The music was hauntingly beautiful, all of it imitating sounds of nature like the wind, water and birds. The man on the far right of the photograph gave me a free music CD. I arrived back at the hospital only to be told how a warrant would’ve been issued for my arrest, had I arrived back later than dinner time. A helicopter was circling the perimeter of the building and I couldn’t help thinking of Krisso and our escape plan. :-) Truth is, I wont be saying a whole lot on here until the meds are sorted and things are feeling semi-okay again, I don’t have time to create any new Art and I don’t feel inspired enough to pen a poem. And Life in the unit is becoming overbearingly stifling, so I wont be talking about that much either. I think I’ll just read and appreciate what everyone else has to say for a while, until I find my Muse again. Ciao 4 Now / Jennifer B / a soon to be / escapee!!! xox

It’s (nearly) beginning to look a lot like … At different ends of the world, the leaves have only just begun to fall or spring has only just sprung but the cold, hard truth is that those mince pies are already on supermarket shelves. We all know what’s just around the corner and in RB land, everything happens a little earlier to allow time for the elves to look after making and shipping our Christmas gifts. / / So as our thoughts turn to our own wish lists and what we’ll be putting under the tree for friends and family, we thought we’d ease ourselves into facing the festive season wth a bit of a RedBubble gift guide. The gallery below features just some of the items we’d love to see under our tree this year (and some we’re thinking about purchasing for others). We hope our Mums are reading! T-shirts Wall Art and Christmas Cards Calendars The official shipping deadlines will be announced in a few weeks, but traditionally, the cut off has been around the second week of December to ensure your gifts are waiting under the tree on Christmas morning. So over to you … We’d love to know what’s on your wish list, your recommendations for others and any ideas you’ve had for family and friends.

Hi! Was delighted to find out that “Lofty Ideals” received the “Today’s Best Award” , thanks to Zazzle :D And yes, I do draw other animals other than just the owls :D Many of you may not have seen this work as this was one of the first few that I uploaded here in RB. So I thought this is a good opportunity for the rest of you to know her better….a piece that’s close to my heart and maybe you can also identify with this painting. This pink sheep’s name is Knitto Pinko :D In this pic, she feels that she is unique and set apart for bigger things, not just another sheep under the shepherd’s shears….not just another digit on the farm….she faced a big dilemma…should she stay or should she leave? / You can view more of “Lofty Ideals” at my Zazzle Gallery. Part 2 of the story: Knitto Pinko submitted her resignation as head knitter to Farmer O’MacDonald a year ago. She decided that she no longer wanted to knit designs that she was in the least passionate about. Her dream was to have her own shop of knitwear, designed by her with 100% wool.Knowing her dream extended beyond the boundaries of this farm which she had grown so familiar with, she took on the challenges that awaited her outside nevertheless. There was no turning back since. She’s now busy with her knit creations which she fondly calls them “Knitties Gritties”. Hope you like the story :D

Hello all! Just got through a really busy week; had a project deadline at school (that big planning project I was stressing about in my last journal) two days ago, which was presented yesterday. Because of this big project I did not have time to pack until yesterday evening. Well since I didn’t bring a lot to Rome initially I didn’t stay up too late packing – I needed to arrive early today so luckily I could get enough sleep. This new place is big! I have a real desk this time! It looks over the Aventine Hill! The only downside is my place is not as close to the supermarket as my previous; although since it is on the way to school, I can just buy things on the way back; and this time I live close enough to go shopping between classes :D. I’ve added photos of my new place; see here / (This album also contains photos of my previous apartment and the area around my school) Well despite that I have just settled in here, I’m going away again! Our class will be gone for a field trip tomorrow, and coming back on the evening of the 27th; this is a long field trip. We’re going north visiting Montepulchiano, Pienza, Siena, Gubbio, Urbine, Parma, Sabbioneta, Mantova, Verona, Vicenza, S. Vito Altivole and Venice. So I’ll be away from RB again.

I was checking my email today and a friend of mine sent me a real goodie that I just had to pass along to everyone! ... now you may or may not know but billions of dollars we had to borrow have been given to banks and other corporations to bail them out and supposedly kick start the economy .. well I can’t print my opinion here .. must be kind .. so I’ll just keep that to myself (grin) ... so my friend sends me this email and omg it’s the best most best bailout idea I ever heard lately or ever actually (grin) ... so what’s this great deal … well .. there are about 40 million americans 50 yrs and older. many living in abject poverty or pretty darn close .. many are still working and not out of choice … so ….... what if we gave each of those 40 million (ok that includes me too (grin)) .. well we give them 1 million dollars each …..... ok I’ll wait until you stop laughing lol …... this is not without conditions … and what are they? (you’ll like this (grin)) ok the conditions …. you get the money IF you agree to the following … #1 you immediately quit your job .. no more working .. you are retired .. you can start your own business or continue it but you no longer can work for anyone else this will open up at least (my guess) ten million jobs for the unemployed and make the lives of elders who work not by choice much happier #2 you must purchase a new vehicle from an american manufacturer within a short time after receiving the cash (six months?) .. for those who have no need for a vehicle for themselves must either purchase one for a friend or relative or neighbor or a complete stranger or donate one to charity. this will give a real boost to the american car manufacturers .. and makes more sense than giving them billions of dollars to prop up their businesses that really hasn’t and dare I say won’t do much to help us. will also help a lot of elders who couldn’t afford a donkey cart much less a vehicle …. #3 you must either pay off your mortgage in full or buy a new residence to live in you can see what this will do to help the construction industry … and for those of us that live in old mobile homes with leaky roofs and poor insulation etc. it would be a godsend … #4 you must place at minimum 500 thousand dollars of this cash grant into either a local bank or local credit union and leave it in there for a specified length of time (6 months? year?) ... unless needed to fulfill requirement #5 or something catastrophic happens to you or your dependents it’s been said that the big banks are too big to let them fail … I say bigger is definitely NOT better … local support is what is important .. just think what those deposits can do to further development in your community! #5 you must pay in full all bills owed on your credit cards. why pay the terribly high rates on unpaid balances for credit these days. pay them off .. buy with cash … save money and why not pay off all your bills while you’re at it (grin) .. owe no one .. that’s always a good thing (smile) #6 you must purchase health insurance for you and your dependent family and spouse. prevention is less costly than the cure .. this will also help with the failing medicare situtation too and put your health back into your control again well … there’s the plan .. the details like how to track if the stipulations are met need to be thought out … and oh yes there will be some who just won’t follow them … but generally speaking most people are honest and it would be a windfall for the older generation and helping everyone … and most specifically it is more likely to stimulate the economy than bailing out the banks and large corporations … so whatcha think? I’ve added a few stipulations that weren’t in the email from my friend .. possibly more could be added … but whomever thought of this first if I knew who I’d thank them profusely (big smile) I was chatting with another friend today about this and he wanted the info he could email the president with it and you know what .. I thought that was such a fantastic idea that I’d encourage everyone, if you like this plan, to do the same!! let’s give Obama a plan that would benefit us all!! ..... will you? (smile) ..

Hello, It’s been a little while since my last post … and there’s been a lot going on. So let me try to share a little of the more interesting odds and ends. Firstly, RedBubble has terrific supporters. This was evidenced by the support we received in the Webby awards where we came second to Flickr in the community category – and Flickr is over 100 times larger than RedBubble. We’ll be gunning for them next year. Another category of supporters that we don’t often mention are the investors behind RedBubble. There are about 30 folks from the US, UK and Australia who’ve invested their hard earned cash to make RedBubble possible – and they’ve recently they injected more money into the business. This is terrific – as it allows us the capacity to continue to invest in building out the website (RedBubble can operate on existing resources, but our ability to build new functionality would be greatly diminished). And in this current economic climate it’s an enormously powerful vote of support. Thanks investors! We’ve also spent quite a lot of time over the last month planning out the future. We’re guilty of being ambitious … with the consequence that we often bite of much more than we can chew. So the decision has been taken to start saying ‘no’ or ‘not now’ to a lot more ideas … so that we can concentrate on doing a better job at a smaller subset of things. We’re also guilty of trying to do too many things at once … and this makes it harder to progress any one initiative. So we’ll also try to focus on one idea at a time. To this end, here’s the rough order of priority of work for the next ‘little while’. 1) Fix up all the obstacles that limit interaction. We make it hard to get started on the site, to find or join groups, to know how your entry is going in a challenge etc. We want to run a fine tooth comb over the site from the perspective of a ‘new member’ to make the site easier to engage with (old hands know how to work around these frustrations … but these things need to be fixed to enable RedBubble to grow and maintain vibrancy). Many ideas for improving interaction have been suggested in the feedback forum so this will be a great sources of specific initiatives as we improve the site. 2) Help empower folks to market their own work. We did some analysis of our e-mail marketing campaigns this week and one of the most powerful levers for improving sales is to assist folks to market their own work. RedBubble brings a lot of buyers to the site via search engine optimization but there’s enormous potential for artists on the site to contribute to sales. In the graph below there was one campaign where we encouraged folks to market their work with their friends – and it was almost an order of magnitude more successful than the other campaigns. The line that we’ll be advocating is that if you want to sell your work you’ll need to get active. We’ll help with advice, encouragement, tools et cetera … but you are the best salesperson of your work. 3) Localization of production for all products. This will help reduce shipping times, reduce our environmental foot print and generate more income for RedBubble so that we can continue investing in building out the site. 4) Improve the conversion rates on the key landing pages. Almost all external buyers don’t land on the homepage … they land deep in the site. We think that we can improve sales by directing these external buyers to dedicated and optimized landing pages. 5) Improve the structure of the site to promote for search engine traffic. Related to the idea above – we’re looking to boost sales on the site with more traffic from search engines. 6) Introduce a range of paper products (books, post cards, et cetera). Not much needs to be said here … fingers crossed we’ll have this ready by October … but it depends how we go with all the above initiatives. There’s a long long list of things we’d like to do beyond this list of six … but one can’t do everything all at once. Cheers, Peter P.S. Here’s a sneak preview of a new homepage design that we’re working on: /

Everything is about ENERGY; the Energy that you are producing, the Energy that you are projecting and the Energy that you are attracting. To ensure that you start each day with a high vibration of positive Life Force Energy ask yourself these five empowering questions. They will collectively awaken your Body, Mind and Soul to a higher level of vibration enabling them to work together in partnership to produce and project the most powerful and loving Energy to the Universe. This will also insure that the same level of Spiritual kindness will be magnetically drawn back to you. EVERY MORNING Ask Yourself: • How would I live this day if it were to BE my last? / • What one thing can I do today to make my life BEcome extraordinary? / • What do I have in my life to BE grateful for? / • What can I do today so that this day will BE fun? / • How can I BE of help to another person today?

Some might say, “It’s only July. What’s the rush?” Well, holidays happen year-round. There are plenty of holy days and Hallmark holidays that are cause for celebration. Whether you celebrate them or avoid them, many people do celebrate popular dates … which means that they’re online and searching for the perfect gift. We’ve just finished Father’s Day, as well as Independence Day, here in the US. My mind has moved on to work that I want ready for October. For example, you might be planning an art series or collection; or wanting to create a holiday specific artwork, design or t-shirt; or maybe you simply want to refresh your website or Bubblesite. I’ll kick off the conversation via the Selling member name shortly, but let’s get started by looking at holiday calendars now. Please let me know if you see any errors and I’ll fix them up before the push to Selling. If you have a calendar for your home country that you’d like me to add to the upcoming Selling post, please send it through via Bubblemail. Hi Everyone, / I have been inspired recently by the shots from Donovan Wilson, Trav Easton, Tony Middleton, Robert Mullner on their recent Toorongo river trip and Jared Revell’s on going work. As shooting cascades, waterfalls and streams is a particular passion of mine, I have decided to organise a small group to go on an exploration day trip to either explore the Toorongo river or follow the Erkskine River to get in a few shots. If anyone is interested in joining a small group, add your comments here and I’ll organise the details for everyone involved. Donovan, Trav, Tony, Robert and/or Jared, your company would be most welcome!

Dear Red Bubble Friends, Yesterday on 09/09/09 at 9:00 PM I re-launched the Plan BE website at:www.gotoplanbe.com. It is time now to get the first Plan BE book into as many hands as possible and to start teaching the empowering workshops and seminars that explain in depth the life-evolving information that Spirit has been sharing with me and my two Plan BE partners. This important information will give everyone the ability to BE in harmony with their Self and BE able to work directly with the Highest Universal Power to co-create their greatest life. I have also been giving more and more Akashic Records readings that have been helping to uncover men and women’s hidden gifts and give them insight into what they can do to help manifest all of their heart-felt desires. I am blessed to be able to access this Universal knowledge for everyone and would like to visit you records with you at your earliest convenience. Just e-mail me for more information. I also would like to introduce you to my two Plan BE partners Theresa Hinkle and Red Bubble artist: Amanda G. Wright. Please read more about my wife Theresa and our great friend Amanda at www.gotoplanbe.com. It will be exciting, insightful and entertaining to conducting workshops and seminars with both Theresa and Amanda. Also please read about the very important first tele-conference “The Vortex.” You will want to be part of that workshop. On a personal note – you should contact Amanda as soon as possible about creating for you a personal Amandala (there is more information on the new Plan BE site and here at www.redbubble.com/people/amandalas). She created a few for Theresa, my children, and me that opened up all of the Energy blocks that we were still creating. This greater flow of Energy is helping us move faster and healthier along our paths. An Amandala is something that is extremely affordable and important to help you now. Please let your friends know. I hope to hear from each of you soon, Terry

Dear all. Have any of you got an Income Protection Plan with any insurance companies, that you pay a hefty premium for, so if you fall really sick or disabled, it will provide you with a monthly income?? If you have, may I suggest that you read the smallest of small print, as for the past x amount of years, I have been paying £67 a month to a reputable (?) company that is not Irish, Welsh, or English, if you understand what I mean. Well, I have been unable to work for over 2 years now due to the arthritis in my knees and hands, and they have rejected my claim. So my friends. If any of you have such a plan, may I suggest that you find out exactly what you are covered for and if you are with a certain company, then I strongly suggest that you find another one as what you are paying, it is not worth the paper it is written on.

I’m going to do something I probably shouldn’t and this little honey bee is going to jump into the honey. I may not have the full extent of the story, I may be wrong, I may be someone else and just not know it yet. But dammit, at least I’m doing something. WE ALL NEED TO TALK!!! Stop being so freaking nandy pandy and have a freaking rant. Are we feeling a little meh about something? Got peanut butter up your nose again? Are your pencils taking up a martial art? Emit here. But be frikken constructive. EMIT PROBLEM // COLLECT IDEAS I went to a great deal of trouble to make a mind map of some of the issues and I’m almost certain that Lucan will have me in a sack with his nanny once he sees it, so work quickly and dabble, conjure, create. Do what all those beautiful squishy brain cells were designed for! We are artists, designers, writers, photographers, scribblers, puta nerds, creators. WE ARE CREATIVE. CREATIVE = PROBLEM SOLVERS. I leave you with a wee quotation / “Finding people you have something in common with is a hugely powerful thing, especially when it comes to us creative kids. It’s a pity we don’t all live in the same street … ” – Natalie Tyler Discuss. Oh wait, I’m going to be a bit more assertive DISCUSS!!!!! najeroux A mind map /

WEBBIE (Thelma) is mending from H1N1 again, plus her heart condition was mis-diagnosed (I think healed). The Flu kept coming back and then back again, and her doctor told her it’s a wonder she lived through the bouts after the first one. We know Who to thank for that, don’t we? Webbie called me today. I was soooo happy to hear her voice!!! And I’m very grateful my dear friend and Sis of the Heart is going to be okay. She’l still weak and can’t get on the computer for more than a few seconds at a time, but she’ll get stronger. If you pray, please join me in thanking our God for her recovery, and in asking Him to keep her cradled in His hands as she continues to recover from all her health problems. God loves us and has a plan for our lives. If you’re curious, BMail me. Dayonda

Prompted by my dismay at a proposed freeway development in Melbourne and its environmental impact. A new freeway through the south-eastern suburbs. Parts of this proposed freeway will necessitate the clearing of large chunks of three nature reserves and a nearby stand of eucalypts, one of which is an Aboriginal scar-tree. It is sad to think that in the 21st Century we still, in the name of so-called progress, clear remnant, native bushland. / I was pleased to see this article here in the National TImes.

Hi everyone, and Aussies specially, I need a hand here. Australia has been steadily climbing our list of “places to go & see” and is pretty close to the top now. :) / We have 2 major holidays tentatively planned next year. One will almost certainly be Ecuador. For the other I’m looking at Australia at the moment. As Ecuador will occupy or slot at the beginning of the year, I’m looking for a place to go in, say, October / November. I’m looking in travel & climat guides as we speak (well….), but, I’d like some first hand information on where to go when in Australia. Not just the October / November time frame, but in general. Good to know is that we hate rain and love blue skies. :) ( we had plenty of rain and not enough blue skies in Taiwan!) We can handle heat, but are not that keen on humidity. So, having so many contacts in Australia, I’d be a fool not to ask, right. ;) Cheers / Peter

The vibration of the intended Energy that emanates from this piece will help re-charge and empower the viewer. Hanging this original or print in a room will change the Energy of the room. LOVE is the most powerful transformational Energy in the Universe. Everything of value comes from the Heart. But to be the most powerful creator you first have to love YOU… how can you give something to someone if you do not first own it yourself? This series of Chakra paintings will be part of the Plan BE book series.
