She is the lifeblood of this region. “Yarragadee” was here long before we walked this land, and gave her a name. We have coexisted with her for generations and enjoyed her gifts, while never having seen her true beauty. Now her existence is threatened by clumsy hands and selfish appetites. Something sacred is about to be defiled. / That which is lost can never be regained. Don’t let our tears of regret become the new lifeblood of this land.

Boundary waters – North of Grand Marais before the Canadian Border, man dives from cliff into the cleanest waters on earth… undisturbed. (35mm) One of my favorite photos for the memories had up there with great friends.

Somehow I just can’t get away from sunrise/sunsets, I think its a lot to do with the colors. / I sometimes amaze myself when playing with light & shadow,I wasn’t really going for this effect,but all of a sudden, it was there. This reminded me very much of the scenery along China’s Li river,yet the sun seems to say Japan, so I guess this is an oriental blend.

Here at this ford on the Nylass River, Greenmo & the Rider fought for 65 turns of the moon, under the shadow of Grimmss World. / Having used every weapon and teaching at their disposal, and having spent the nights sharing a campfire. / They both knew that tomorrow one would pass on to a greater battlefield, whereas the winner would claim the Golden Chalice and so be crowned king. / .................................................................................................................... / Maybe it should have been called, Greenmos Folly. No one alive will ever see this again! / I know that I won’t be getting much sleep in August, as my eyes will be on the skies to witness the red planet up close and personal. / Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. It is guesstimated, the next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. / Due to the way Jupiter’s gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again. / The encounter will culminate on August 27th, when Mars comes within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the Moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide, at a modest 75 power magnification. / Mars will look as large as the full Moon to the naked eye and will be easy to spot at the beginning of August as it rises in the east at 10pm and reaching its azimuth at 3am. By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30 am. / Truly a sight that no human being has seen in recorded history, so mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see and watch Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month… / Mars is the security department head, responding with action and self-defense, making you brave, courageous, daring and even fearless, symbolically speaking. Over seven years ago, I became increasingly aware of the Earth changes and shifts in energy. Initially I tried to ignore them or find “logical” explanations as to what was happening, but eventually I was overwhelmed by what was happening on all levels around me. / Gradually I realized that it was the Earth herself who was trying to communicate with me.. / So I was compelled to take pen and paper and go and sit quietly in nature and ask “What is it you wish to tell me?” ...and this is what she said / ....... It has taken a long time for me to do this, but what was written back in 2003 has now been published in a book together with a collection of my images, and will be available for those who wish to read the message or honour the planet that we would be nothing without. This piece of art is to celebrate the publication of the book, Message From Mother Earth From the book….. “Do not be afraid. This is powerful awareness. But it is also useful and healing too. It teaches you that we can create the world we live in, by the power of our thoughts. You are seeing that your connection with every part of your life begins and ends within yourself, within your heart, within your true thoughts. You are part of this circle of life, this very web, this intricate design of cosmic energy. You are at the heart of it and from your heart comes the power to weave your own beautiful creation. It is within you to change, to heal, to create, and to simply BE. Do not overlook the importance of this knowledge. And do not overlook the magic. For if you can communicate with the planet you stand upon, and speak together from the heart, then nothing is impossible in heaven and earth! Believe it, and it shall be so. Disbelieve, and you hold only a hand full of dirt, and some air. I am real, and so are you, and we are connected.”
