At 13th Beach near Barwon Heads. 360 degree panorama consisting of 24 frames.
We had an eclipse of the moon the other night. / So I thought I would try to fly to it. But the clouds got in my way, and I lost direction. / Well this is the result after a play with PhotoImpact.
This was taken off the last full moon, right after the eclipse.
Tiny planet with huge lighthouse and grassy field
Since this is my most popular image I should say something about it… The location wasnt planned at all, I had just learned how to make these little planets from here: http://www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=436459 and was in desperate need of something to photograph to try it out… so this is just the building across from my house and my parking lot :D
Gaia is our only home, and the key to her future lies in our hands. If we sustain her well, we can keep her doors open to reveal her beauty, and invite the neighboring sunlight to accompany us. Key modeled in FormZ. Everything else are photos put together in PhotoShop. I used my Sun behind the clouds as the background for this piece This work has been featured in: / Current Issues / Colour Me a Rainbow / Alphabet Soup

This is four photos that I chose to layer to get a similar effect as “nature under water” and “the nature of things” although I used live nature and threw it on printed images for the others. The amazing gifts of the earth that we live with and we survive because of…......we are all connected. A song called Dancing / by Elisa Toffoli

Oil Pastels With Acrylic (With Minor Digital Enhancements) Ophelia getting all ready and eager to make her first odyssey to space! Finally, she can dance with the stars and kiss the moon goodnight, something she can only daydream about previously. This is made possible because of Moonman who has graciously grant her this wish of visiting him at Planet 555 where he happily resides :D You can view and buy my other “First Owl In Space “creations at my Zazzle Gallery:

Image of the Milky way taken at Coonabarabran with the Nikon D300 and an 11mm lens. The image stretches from Crux to Aquila. The Bright star at the bottom is Jupiter. This image is a combination of 2 five minute exposures at f4.5.
This one’s a bit of a diversion for me. I’m just trying to avoid finishing my children series! I eventually broke down and bought a book on photo shop techniques . I’m not sure it helped that much as this image took me 5 times longer to create! / Still, it keeps me out of trouble I guess….
When *owlspook featured my image, I was asked did it have a name, so for owlspook….................. Let us call this world ” Aliens Dream” for thats what it really is, its in a galaxy far, far, away, its where my alien mind dwells, I just add the yeast and watch them rise, my dreams. Totally Alien, Pure Scifi, just one of the many worlds within this Alien Mind. Its my dream and may I never wake-up!!! “May you always create well and prosper” AV
The Moon is Earth’s only natural satellite and the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System. The average centre-to-centre distance from the Earth to the Moon is 384,403 kilometres (238,857 mi), about thirty times the diameter of the Earth. The common centre of mass of the system (the barycentre) is located at about 1,700 kilometres (1,100 mi)—a quarter the Earth’s radius—beneath the surface of the Earth. The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth every 27.3 days[nb 3] (the orbital period), and the periodic variations in the geometry of the Earth–Moon–Sun system are responsible for the phases of the Moon, which repeat every 29.5 days[nb 4] (the synodic period). / The Moon’s diameter is 3,474 kilometres (2,159 mi),[4] a little more than a quarter of that of the Earth. Thus, the Moon’s surface area is less than a tenth of the Earth (about a quarter of Earth’s land area, approximately as large as Russia, Canada, and the United States combined), and its volume is about 2 percent that of Earth. The pull of gravity at its surface is about 17 percent of that at the Earth’s surface. / The Moon is the only celestial body on which human beings have made a manned landing. While the Soviet Union’s Luna programme was the first to reach the Moon with unmanned spacecraft, the NASA Apollo program achieved the only manned missions to date, beginning with the first manned lunar mission by Apollo 8 in 1968, and six manned lunar landings between 1969 and 1972 – the first being Apollo 11 in 1969. Human exploration of the Moon temporarily ceased with the conclusion of the Apollo program, although a few robotic landers and orbiters have been sent to the Moon since that time. The U.S. has committed to return to the Moon by 2018. Image taken In Virginia with a Canon Digital Rebel XSI….and a 120mm 4.7inch refractor….and a 2x barlow lens…As Is

No one alive will ever see this again! / I know that I won’t be getting much sleep in August, as my eyes will be on the skies to witness the red planet up close and personal. / Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. It is guesstimated, the next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. / Due to the way Jupiter’s gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again. / The encounter will culminate on August 27th, when Mars comes within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the Moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide, at a modest 75 power magnification. / Mars will look as large as the full Moon to the naked eye and will be easy to spot at the beginning of August as it rises in the east at 10pm and reaching its azimuth at 3am. By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30 am. / Truly a sight that no human being has seen in recorded history, so mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see and watch Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month… / Mars is the security department head, responding with action and self-defense, making you brave, courageous, daring and even fearless, symbolically speaking. Mars placement in your natal birth chart describes how you act on your own behalf. In the body, Mars rules the head, representing SELF; the blood, representing your expressing and receiving; and, muscles representing our ability to move in life. Mars is in charge of how you assert yourself and how you express anger, the side of you that initiates all activity. In astrology, Mars rules the signs of Aries and Scorpio, as the symbol of an aggressive man, personified as the Roman God Mars, the Greek God Ares, or the Mesopotamian God Nergal helmeted with a shield and sword or spear, perhaps mounted, sometimes with a wolf, and all associated with the energies of violence, courage, ardour, tension, fire, iron, the color red, the South direction and Tuesday. / Life on Mars? / Nasa photo of Earth and Mars (wikipedia) edited in photoshop7 with Fractilius filter (Redfield plug-in), saturation and lens flare rendering. KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE SKIES! Thanks to CJ for the reminder too ;)

Art over the centuries as boldly gone where no art as gone before! Art as evolved with leaps and bounds, it as crossed a great many mediums. And it had to happen, here we have the planet Epsilon-Epsilon. The planet was purchased by one individual for the sole purpose of creating a work of art. The planet as thousands of cities and towns, all built as different architectual art forms, they are not populated, in fact there are no beings that live on the whole planet. / There is a reception center on the largest moon, the “tours” can take anywhere from 1 to 10 years to complete. The artist know as *Alienvisitor plans to purchase the entire solar system and all 13 of its planets, so one day the system itself will become the art form. This is but a small sample of said art…...the city of Flight, the architecture here is based on but not exact of his *Cities in Flight Series. Featured in Images & Ideas Group 25/07/09
