  • Richmond Air Show – Sydney, Australia. Afterburn.

  • Some people make paper aeroplanes, and fine, maybe some of the aerodynamic touches help them move through the sky a bit better. But not you. Your paper aeroplanes fly through the air at mach five and barely have time to casually sneer at others’ efforts. You’re a pro. You don’t make paper planes. You make paper jet fighters.

  • St Paul’s Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge, London

  • Make Art not War! / . / detail: /

  • if i can fly… .....

  • This is actually the backup ASI on a G1000-equipped Cessna 182. But whatever… it’s an airspeed indicator. It’s for “flight junkies” (aviation enthusiasts), obviously. Wear it proudly :-)

  • This design is based on the Paul Defiant fighter plane. Its a unique aircraft as it has a heavy calibre gun turret sitting in the middle. When these planes first came into service during WW2, enemy fighters would attack from the rear not realising the plane was quite capable of shooting then straight in the face. Now this design is available in a range of cool bags. Just click on the image below / If you love Aircraft then check out these other designs below Please visit the new bubble site SIEGEWORKS / This best way to view all siegeworks designs in one place! Below are just a few examples of whats on offer.

  • My son turned to watch in disbelief and amazement as his toy plane actually took flight in the living room. After grazing my head it eventually crashed and burned near the end table. Both have been grounded ever since…. This is straight out of the camera. Nothing is attached to the airplane. The secret to the shot lies in the EXIF data which I have provided below. Camera: Canon EOS 40D / Exposure: 1/3200 sec / Aperture: f/2.2 / Focal Length: 50 mm / ISO Speed: 3200 / Exposure Bias: 0 EV / Flash: Flash did not fire

  • The work horse of the RAF, more common that the spritfile although not as glamerous! It was made largely from more perishable materials like wood and canvas which made it cheaper and faster to repair than the spitfire. • I’m feeling supersonic / Give me gin and tonic Oasis | SUPERSONIC (click through to the music video which I had never seen till last night and incredibly, is full of passenger jets). This tee has been simmering away for quite a while. The jets are all computer renders of a modified copyright free 3d model. For the sound challenge. You can vote for this entry by clicking here. I’ve narrowed it down, but can’t decide on a t-shirt colour to enter – please let me know what your pick is.

  • I made this from a photo I took of this plane taxiing down the runway at duxford imperial war museum. it took of and did a whole load of flybys, it was awesome! Now you can get a beer mug….Hell yeah! / And super cool mesh caps! / If you love Aircraft then check out these other designs below Make sure you also check out my Bubble Site or my profile for more great designs, examples of which you can see below.

  • Detail from aircraft wing, clearly French, but no idea what aircraft ! I forgot as usual to take the details… sigh. / Taken at Flixton aircraft museam… one of my many photos that I might get around to using as a textural layer. / Nikon D200 ISO 200 1/160 f5.6

  • Last night I went to the Airpower Over Hampton Roads Airshow. I stopped near a parking lot at the end of the runway, and was treated to the return of four F-15E Strike Eagle pilots. As they walked towards us, they asked us how they looked and if their 4 ship formation was nice and tight. They then joked that this pictured pilot here, was probably way off the mark, I even commented that I didn’t get his plane in even with THAT lens. It was fun to see the human aspect of an airshow, and having a laugh with these hometown heros. I can’t believe how young these “kids” looked.

  • A big colourful jumble of stars stips and all sorts creating some cool abstract shapes in the vapour trails of a whole number of f-86 sabres Now its also available on a bag / If you love Aircraft then check out these other designs below Make sure you check out my Bubble Site for more great designs, examples of which you can see below.

  • A restored Vulcan Bomber being ‘escorted’ into the Dawlish Air Show, 20/08/09, by the Red Arrows Display Team. / This was the first time in 17 years that these aircraft have been seen together at a show. For those interested in the Vulcan, I will upload one of the craft on its own, and I will be adding a journal with a few more of the pictures on. / I will not bore you with lots of pics of the same craft. / Also, I probably will not be uploading any Red Arrows shots as there are enough already on RB. I used my Sigma 70-300 Lens for this capture. Hope you like it. / Thank you for looking. Best Viewed Large.
