Band playing in the Red Carpet Lounge of the Pitts Motor Hotel in the 1950’s. “In the sixties, the Pitts Hotel was a showplace, and Cornelius Pitts was one of Washington’s most successful black entrepreneurs. His hotel attracted not only tourists and traveling businessmen but local customers, black and white. They lined up at the Red Carpet Lounge, which featured valet parking and a maitre d’, to listen to the likes of Aretha Franklin. “The place stayed packed,’ a former regular said. “The drinks weren’t that high. You didn’t feel like you were getting ripped off. The music was great. And the minute you walked in, you felt comfortable there.’ This photograph is copyrighted by Aladdin Color Inc and can not be reproduced in any way. St James Church of England (Anglican) is situated in the colonial town of Pitt Town, a Macquarie town, in NSW, just a short drive from Sydney. This church played an important part in the early history of Australia. Church services had been held in Pitt Town since early settlement however it was not until 1857 that the foundation stone was laid for the existing church. The local parishioners had been raising money to build a substantial church of worship and had arranged for Bishop Barker, the second Bishop of Sydney to lay the foundation stone. Their hopes seemed dashed as continuous rain and flooding of the Hawkesbury River made it look impossible for the service to proceed. Imagine their amazement and delight, when Bishop Barker arrived on horseback, emerging from the rain sodden bushland in time for the service. So on Thursday 0th July 1857, as the swirling waters rose to their highest level since 1819, the foundation stone was laid and the church named. Services where held in the church from September 1858 however the consecration took place on the 11th April 1859 by Bishop Barker. The church is built of Hawkesbury sandstone with Gothic arches and is furnished in deep red cedar. It overlooks Pitt Town lagoon and the area where my convict ancestor, Robert Hobbs, held his first land grant.
In my experience both men and women can have a pleasant nature under one set of circumstances, but then a violent and corrupt one under another. Photoshop In this image: Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt)

So this time I choose the movie actor Brad Pitt as subject for this portrait. Sorry for watermarking this piece, but it will be featured in an art gallery. Normally I don’t watermark my work as I really don’t care if people use my privat artwork, but this has a change of being sold, so that’s why. Hope you enjoy it ;-) Odwin

Pitt Street looking south towards Park Street. A little bit of info: / Pitt Street is Australia’s second biggest street located in the central business district of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Pitt St is famous for being home to the Pitt St Mall district, which begins at the intersection of Pitt St and Market St. Pitt St Mall is the most expensive street in Australia and 7th most expensive street in the whole world. Australia’s biggest retailer, Westfields will begin construction of a shopping centre on Pitt St Mall, a first of its kind in an Australian CBD. The complex will be a large high rise tower with office use above the shopping levels. The street is one way (Northbound Only) from George Street to Pitt Street Mall and (Southbound Only) from Circular Quay to Pitt Street Mall. It runs through the entire city centre from Circular Quay in the north to Redfern south, although a substantial stretch of it was removed when the Sydney Central railway station was built. One of the BEST movies so far of 09! This scene is between the “jew hunter” and Brad Pitt. Brad is imitating an Italian film director. He claims to have the best Italian in the group, and when he finally speaks, he says the word Buongiorno, but with the thickest American twang accent. SO FUNNY
