A rendition of the Kiss band logo to read Piss. If you didn’t know, in Australia to ‘sink some piss’ or ‘hit the piss’ is to go have a few cold ones, otherwise known as beer for those not up with the slang. A great drinking t-shirt, idea goes to me and a great big thanks to webgrrl for designing it as I have no graphical design skills whatsoever.

Pen and ink drawing with an added wash of Guinness Stout. Crescent hot press watercolor board, 100% rag, acid-free, 140 lb watercolor sheet mounted to triple-thick board. It eliminates the need for restretching, used to support the wet media. This drawing was a commission for the Boston pub band “The Gobshites”. They will use the drawing as cover art for their new cd “Songs Me Da Got Pissed To”. The portraits onn the wall are JFK and the band leader’s “Da”. I developed the technique for painting with stout after I spilled a drop of Guinness on my sketchbook while sketching session musicians at a local Irish pub. “Like me mother fucker you’ve been at it for too long” / lyrics: Scream – Avenged Sevenfold Self portrait / no editing other than converting to black and white this one requires a back story, in my opinion / As some of you may know, I’m well on my way to winning a life long battle with schizophrenia/severe psychosis/multiple personality disorder (i’m not 100% clear as to what they’re saying it is now. I don’t think they’re sure either). The side of me that the medication is preventing from coming out, is a very angry, violent, disturbing, dark person from what i’ve been told and have been shown. So when people see that I’m in that state, they get quiet and away from me so nothing harmful is provoked, hence why I chose the lyrics for the title, and put the makeup to look like my mouth was stitched shut. and if you look at the song, the song fits that too. / so it’s a type of self portrait I’ve been wanting to do for a while.

I tried as best I could to recreate those crappy plastic chairs we had in school, because they’re vile. / I was going for a Space Invaders idea first of all but hadn’t thought of what to do for the Invader family.
