This is a closer view of the lotus. This is taken outside while its growing and waking up to a new day.. its petals close as the sun goes down. Say How Much You Love Them

Just so ready for spring flowerrs. The tulips are several inches tall. The yarrow is delicately making its appearance. The snow is finally gone.
Thought I would share a taste of my blossom obsession with you all.
The soft delicate petals of a sweet-pea flower /
The last (for now) in my digital infrared series. This one reminded me almost of a painting by Claude Monet or someone from that ‘ilk’ of art work…Photoshop is just too amazing… ;-)
Pink is my fav colour ! :) Shot with Canon PowerShot A550.
Trying something new, again! I just love the way this turned out! I was working with my extensions tubes (again!) and this Dogwood blossom was floating in a dish of water…It’s just so soft looking! I hope you enjoy. “A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.” Diane Arbus, (1923-1971) A delicate small feathered bloom hidden in the dark reaches of our garden in the early morning fog this morning. A reminder of just how beautiful nature is. Canon 400D – Sigma 70 – 300 Macro hand held.
In taking a break from my dead rose head images, here’s one still in full bloom with just a hint of raindrops and the most exquisite subtle perfume. It is a shame we cannot convey smell via the internet!! Treated with a light gradient to keep it soft. This morning my goal was to take pictures of birds, but my pics of my dried flowers ended up better. I was “tickled pink” with this random shot of my dried Allium seed heads. I try to keep these cut back because the seeds spread like wildfire in my garden. Natural focus – the only edit to this photo is a change in hue from green to pink/lavender. / Taken 11/8/09 at sunrise in my backyard, Clarks Valley, PA
