Heart Built on Tears These are individually placed waterdrops on a CD. The colors come from how the light is refracted on the surface. It’s really easy to arrange shapes since you can just drag the drop with any sharp object and it will stay perfectly spherical and not loose any water :) So this is a bit feminine, but boo double standards :) / These are the descriptions I give on dA —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Location: Portland, OR / Date: August 30th, 2008 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Camera: Canon Digital Rebel XSi (450D) / Lens: Canon Macro Lens EF-s 60mm f/2.8 / Focal Length: 60 mm / Flash: Built-In Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec / Aperture: 2.8 / ISO: 400 / — MY PHOTOGRAPHS ARE COPYRIGHTED AND NOT FOR USE OF STOCK, CANNOT BE REDISTRIBUTE, EDITED, AND/OR COPIED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Sometimes one only gets to see part of the whole, but that part is so breathtaking that no more is needed, sometimes a person will only reveal a part of themselves, and over time one sees a little more and a little more and the glimpse grows and the picture becomes whole…
Mixed media on canson paper. Inspired by my love of pears! I’ve always been fascinated by the shape of pears! They are also one of my favourite fruits! I guess pear shaped says it all! / /
I came across two petals which had fallen on a branch forming a heart shape in Olinda, Dandenong’s, VIC.

I know, I said I wouldn’t upload anything for a long period. But before throwing myself in studying, I had to help my family with the grape harvest (“vendemmia” in Italian) and as everytime in this period, I was enchanted by the beauty of the nature hidden in the grapesvine shoots. I couldn’t help myself taking several shots and I ended up putting online this miniserie. / I hope the Light in these shots will please your eyes, warm your soul and comfort who is in a time of darkness (Mother Nature helped me to love Life and keep my hopes even in the worst moments). / Links to my other works: / NATURE / PORTRAITS / TRAVELLING / VARIOUS

The concept of a heart shaped shadow derived from a well placed ring nested in the spine of a book is not a new one, however this is my rendition of that well loved wedding theme. / For those who know of someone planning on tying the knot, this would make a very nice card. For those whom are already “tied”, don’t forget her on Valentines Day!
this is a fractal done in Tierazon and postwork in PhotoImpact
