Every time I show my works I get some one who asks “where are the black girls at.” The truth is they usually don’t make it out of the studio before someone has waved some cash in my face. They are hot product on the street. / I wanted to really bring out the soul in this one. I used pastels for the colors, shades, and background. I left the edges of the paper white. Lastly I used ink for the outlines. / Peace, love, and happiness.
Urban abstract / Pastel, ink, on paper. / I wanted a cute little dress that would go with the lighter peach skin tone. / I used pink and yellow to give it a little fire and drew a hand bag to match the attire. I kept the lines smooth and curvy and tried not to use any straight lines. In the end i think it turned out great, and I will mix up the colors in the future. Hope you enjoy, / Comments Welcome.
Pastel, Ink on paper. original 9×12” inch / I wanted to use the old school radio look to go with the fashion. In the end it gave it a 80’s feel. The pink on hot pink give it a little shadow with the clothes and the flowers. Brown tones were used for the skin of the woman and a bright yellow to contrast the pink and white. Some bracelets and earrings for a little more fire in her character. In the end i decided to settle with a bikini top and Skirt bottom with the two flowers on each side. Hope you enjoy! Comments welcome!
Latina fire. / I wanted to get a really original painting on this one so i went a little far out on the fashion and clothing. I also wanted a cool hand bag to give a little more sophisticated look. Long black hair complements the red used for the top and skirt, with. Gray for the background and the edges left white. Pale and dark skin tone was used for the body and it brought out the legs and the stomach area. The shoulder gave it a sexy feel and the underwear strap to top it off. / Hope you enjoy. / Comments welcome!!!!!
“Emo Chick” / Pastel on Paper, ink / Bright red for the majority of the clothing. I wanted a funky cute type of sweater and the flowers made a match. The hair was left simple yet with a little character. One black handbag to top it off. With the belt under bra and flowers I think I came close to some of the Emo’s i see on the streets. / Emo Girls coming soon!
A fun day in miami. I love the way the colors came out in this, I thought it gave a nice old feel to it. The colors are mellow and her hair makes it pop!

I usually am a huge fan of bright and vivid colours (yes, I’m in that group too… LOL!), but during the last weeks, I have been uploading a lot of black and white as well as neutral photos. I felt a bit deprived of the energizing boost I always get from colours, so I decided to explore a style which is new for me: Pop Art . The shoe is my first vector work. I found that while it is not a complex process, it is quite time-consuming. To accomplish this I used the pen tool in Photoshop to select areas of colour, and filled them with the appropriate colour each on their own layer. This was made from a photograph where I was standing in the shoes, see Social Climber , so I had to add the parts of the straps and sole that were hidden by my foot in the photo. Ten hours and 35 layers layer, the vector shoe on a transparent background was completed. For this Pop Art design, I created a large canvas filled it with black, and added four copies of the vector shoe on four layers. Played with hue/saturation and added coloured backgrounds. That’s it! This work is also available as a t-shirt in my other portfolio Featured in the Live, Love, Dream group on February 20, 2009

Taken with Sony Cybershot 16 April 2009 / Information here Polygala myrtifolia is a common, widespread pioneer shrub with pretty mauve flowers on and off throughout the year with a peak in spring, hence the names Augustusbossie and September bush Polygala myrtifolia varies in form as it changes to adapt to the different areas it grows in, from the harshness of the coast to the drier inland climates. An evergreen shrub, the most common forms reach about 0.6 to 1.8 m in height with a few upright-growing stems and slender branches densely covered with leaves that resemble myrtle. The oval-shaped leaves are usually 25-50 mm long and up to 13 mm wide. The leaves are light green, dark green or slightly grey. Some forms of P. myrtifolia have thin, needle-like leaves. It can also grow into a small tree reaching almost 4 m high. The buds are green, flat, marked with dark veins and oval to half-moon-shaped. The lower buds open first. The flowers are carried in small clusters at the ends of short branches and look a bit like legume (pea or bean) flowers, but are actually quite different. Close inspection will reveal that although they have two wings and a keel, they lack the banner (also called standard) petal. All polygalas also have a showy, and very distinctive brush-like tuft on the keel. The showy petals, beautifully marked with darker veins, are usually in shades of mauve or purple, but can also be pink scarlet, or white. Polygala myrtifolia has blooms throughout the year with a peak in spring ( August to October) when the plants flower profusely. The fruit is a small, winged capsule. Polygala is a genus of about 500 species of flowering plants belonging to the family Polygalaceae, commonly known as milkwort or snakeroot. The genus includes herbaceous perennial plants, shrubs and small trees, and has a subcosmopolitan distribution.
