The flowers photographed in this image where also from my garden. / Photographing grasshoppers was new to me when I found this little guy in my garden, he was so green and cute I had to try and get a photo of him. / He didn’t sit still for long, I had a few seconds, but when he looked straight at me I knew (hoped) this is going to be very special. On this image I used a Canon Digital SLR with a Canon 100mm macro and of course a very sturdy tripod. / Photographed in the highlands of Tasmania, Australia. / So much fun! No animal was harmed in this photo. sometimes we just do not choose to stop thinking thoughts that cause us deep pain and saddness. I know this to be true. One day after much help from the desire that was great in my heart to be relieved of such painful choices, I finally saw the light after many years of searching for my truth. / When I came to understand that my own choice of thoughts made me feel either good or bad I began to be conscious of my thinking and started to take full responsibility for my thoughts. What freedom I have discovered in taking responsibility for my happiness. I do not have to depend on people places or things to make a choice of a thought that feels a little better or a little worse or continue to think exactly what is causing my own pain. It is a daily practice and I am not perfect at it. Infact I can go for a few days with thoughts that are quite painful. But you know.. it beats years of it!! / Years to months to days to weeks to hours to minutes to NOW.. / I am shooting for IMMEDIATE GRATIFACATION.. TEE HEE…

This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before she realized she wasn’t interested in tulips. / Captured in Cave Creek, Arizona, with a Canon 20D. The sunlight through the petals and leaves looked lovely against the backdrop of the snow outside. Our short days make sunshine seem all the more precious, even indoors. artisandelimage kindly suggested that I crop the line of the wall to the right, as well as a bit off the top. meet our new little friend bubbles (daughter choose name) – a lovely little baby red eyed green tree frog. still trying to get a good shot of her/his mate freddo, but he is v. shy… trying out my new kenko macro tubes with 50mm 1.4 nikkor lens ISO:400 / f/stop: f/4.5 / shutter speed: 1/80 these little guys are v. tiny – not much bigger than my finger nail…
