I took this pic when walking in the big jungle of «Le biodôme de Montréal» …....... :))) They started the sprinklers of mist«spray« at the same moment as my shot ,that ’s the reason for that misty effect . That bird is called «Roseate Spoonbill». /

This is probably the last lotus bloom of the year. The bloom lasted one day before the cold rain knocked all the petals off.

Watercolour on Arches Hot Pressed Paper… Sequestered in their wiry pods, / the hibiscus opened last night after a long silence. / While we mimicked stones in our shared bed, / the big lusty blooms burst into being, / half-human and full as the moon. I also experimented with this image in photoshop. I cut, cropped and merged two flowers from two different pictures together. I dusted them lightly with clouds (photoshop brushes) of different colors, basic brushes, special effect brushes and sharpened the image (filter gallery). I also altered the color (filter forge) and detail. Then I added swirls and leaves (more photoshop brushes) and added some style to it. I love the way this came out!!
