A photo I took this week on a mild foggy morning.I saw that tree on the other side of the lake in the fog….5 minutes from my home…The straight light you see was the sun reflecting on the lake.I added an impressionnist effect … / L’Achigan lake in St-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada. / A card for many occasions…. / /
A shot in the fog very early in the morning at the lake near where I live.Taken with a D 200 Nikon. /
“Three-fourths of philosophy and literature is the talk of people trying to convince themselves they really like the cage they were tricked into entering.” / Poet, Gary Snyder.
Nature’s forces can sometimes be so powerful. / This was the moon rising – June 2008 – I thought the clouds were about to engulf the moon from underneath.

Last summer while mowing the lawn, I found this tiny pine tree growing .. Stood about 3 or 4 inches tall then, 1/2 dried out & crispy brown and not too promising looking… So not being able to mow over it… I dug it up, replanted it into a nice pot then took it in for care during the winter mths and today I measured it’s height at just around 8” tall.. Has several branches now too insted of only a few,.. This is the top branch from it.. Looks pretty healthy to me now. Anyway.. Thats the story behind this image. Cool.. Thanks for cking out my now healthy 8” pine.. The purple color you see here is from the pot behind it… Nikon D60~ / Close up lens / Ct. May 09’
From the Fine Art Photography of Wendy Bandurski-Miller Taken under the pine trees on a winters day …. it was a really misty day and it is amazing how the light change affected the most usual elements on the property and created it’s own atmosphere. I loved it!

An as is shot of our favorite “Standing Peaople” or Pine Trees near our cabin ;) A tree that cannot be confused with any others – I must concede / Its evergreen branches conceive cones, while some conceal seeds / The pinon, with a taste like confection, which connoisseur birds feed / I must confess, the one most condusive for my eyes, is the blue spruce breed These trees do console my winter spirit with their life so consistent / Continuous shelter for the falcons and birds, whose travels are distant / Unconditionally they give of their flesh, which contain constructing assistant / In addition to needs for economic growth, we’re convinced and persistent An icon Sequoia, the tallest conifer of all, towers as high as days in the year / The only species able to conquer death, by conjuring life, when its base is cut clear / Conservation efforts aplenty, on the Pacific coast despite a consumerism frontier / I’ve had many conversations of concern against so many black marketers My conscience speaks loudly to those driven by greed / Who try to convince me – when they’re condensed, they are much like weeds / I’m interconnected to those who contribute to my medicinal needs / By no means conventional, though content with success and Godspeed The traditions of Christmas, I will not conform to, by cutting one down / A concept of constraint, receiving no congratulations, but frowns / When we light our live one out under the constellations – the only in town / It’s our own beacon to condole all conifers slain for a holiday crown. tkrosevear 2007 An exercise in using as many words containing “con”, this poem contains 42, inspired by TREES. it is somewhat dark in my pine tress where birds sit, so I rigged up two 150 watt spotlights to give me a little illumination. A goldfinch sat on the very branch that was illuminated. I like the way the background is dark, and he looks to be shining. A glorious morning crossing Tioga Pass brought me to this pretty vista seen from Tuolemne Meadows in Yosemite National Park. Cathedral Peak, and visible just to the right of the peak itself, Eichorn Pinancle. I really liked how the pointed trees echo the sharp needle of the peak. And that blue sky had to be seen to be believed. Yosemite rocks during the springtime… :o) May 2007.
