This is a homage to a night i went to in London called Loss; A night of exquisit misery. And that it was. Everyone dressed in victorian mourning wear or just generally elaborately and they cut onions at midnight to make everyone cry. The tables were covered with gothic assortments of fruit, vegetables, dead flowers from Highgate cemetary and chickens feet. There was a skinned cow hoof at the top of the stairs. Someone was dancing with it by the end of the night.

Taken whilst on canoe in Ao Nang Thailand. About three hours into the tour this group of lively (and hungry) Macaques managed to find us as we were enjoying some refreshments. This particular charming young one sat on my foot. Wild as they are and not nearly afraid of us enough..they tend to be a bit intimidating. I didnt move my foot or much else..just hoped he would continue on his merry way.. / They have big teeth you know :) / He is wet from swimming to the canoe and trying to raid the esky that was nesting comfortably between myself and my canoeing partner at the time. I think he got some pineapple in the end..not my foot..lol.. :D / This isnt the greatest of photos..its more to tell you of the experience you can have with the wildlife~! The interaction..even though intimidating can bring you up close and personal. This is one of those moments :D

This hales from Brazil but winters over happily in a pot next to my house, I have to get to it before the slugs do, but it is such a pretty plant, and lives up to its name as resembling the Pineapple, unfortunately it does not smell like one it has rather a pungent smell.

I spent some time in December looking after rescued primates at Limbe Wildlife Centre in Cameroon. I love the drill! I took this with my Nikon D50 and new 80-400mm 4.5-5.6 lens, which is a big b*gger to hold without a tripod The male drill is one of the most colourful monkeys in the world. When he is grown up he has a red chin on a black face with raised grooves exaggerating the shape of his nose. Also, his bottom is pink, mauve and blue! These bright colours help his family follow him through the forest. The drill only lives in three countries: Cameroon’s Southwest Province, South East Nigeria and Bioko Island in Equatorial Guinea. The drill is highly endangered. A mother drill only has one young every six years, and a hunter can easily kill 30 Drills in a day. They are also losing their forest home

This amazin piece o architecture said tae be the best in scotland, can be found at dunmore aboot 3 miles frae ma hoose. it wis built in 1761 by the 4th earl o dunmore as a garden retreat..aye imagine goin doon tae yer garden center noo an sayin build me a big pineapple please ..sorry son we are fresh oot o big stane pineapples huv a shity big plastic gazebo insteed!.... anyway whits even more impressive is jamie an millie ..i said tae them awa up there an look regal ..so aff they went an stood like a wee statue at the side o the door ..i doubt they take there actin ability aff thier dad!..it didny last long an auld couple came intae the ground wi a king charles spaniel..i think the poor wee thjing is in a home noo sufferin frae shock!

thought i wid gee ye a bigger view o the twa dugs an a pineapple shot…does it no look delicious ..sorry!....apparantly each leave has its own wee drainage system tae protect it frae frost ..this estate is huge an the main building is now derilict we stumbled oan the stables in the woods but i will show ye this later..it is currently in the hands of the national trust for scotland but is leased out to the landmark trust
