  I would like to say thank you to the Painters in Modern Times group for featuring one of my paintings this week. This is the second time and I really feel like my work is being recognised at last. It means so much to me. I often wonder if I am doing any good work as I am overly critical and can see what I could do better. This work was my first serious attempt at abstract and I really enjoyed creating it. My husband likes it, so we have it hanging on our wall and see something different in it everytime we look at it. However PiMt will always be a group which will showcase the more traditional artists among us. It is for this reason that we would like to create a group specific to Digital Painters and although their is already a group for digital painter’s we would like to create a group specific for artists who wish to join PiMT or are members of PiMT so they can showcase their work. Therefore we are thinking it would be an invitation group only. / Here is where we need your support. In fact since the beginning of June our membership had grown by over 100 members. This is why I would like to remind you all that when you upload work could you please make sure you include your Medium, support and dimension of your work. Please take the link for more information. It is a fairly big job to moderate the paintings, which I try to do as often as possible, so I would like your help by please only submitting two images per day. I have been trying to stagger the moderation when members submit more than two per day but as you can probably appreciate with more than 50 images to approve each day this becomes quite hard. I will really have no option than to reject those images that exceed the limit for you to resubmit later. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Is your art practice going beyond the brush and canvas? Are you experimenting with different media? Hope you don’t mind, not trying to big note myself! / I have been informed I will be featured in the the Australian “Artist’s Palette” Magazine Number 82 should be the January 2010 issue. It will be in the Lang’s Gallery section. Actually, I was the the first place entry and received a small prize; I’m pinching myself, it’s unbelievable. / Also I have five pieces in an exhibition on Friday the 27 Nov 2009 the exhibition runs till 27 Dec 2009. The exhibition is called the “Painted Nation” put together by Creative Moods a subsidiary of Art shed supplies. A large number of artist’s works will be displayed I believe, the theme is based around the life style in Australia from the beaches to the inland with its vibrant color. / Anyway hope you don’t mind I have passed on the above, For those who are lucky enough to live in the Perth City area (It is Beautiful) I will include the location of the Exhibition. Those of you already watching (or joining in) kafka’s screenplay thread might have noticed that there are some references to famous artists, paintings and literary works – there’s a reason for this (as there usually is with k!) There are more than just some references, there are a load of them hidden in TT and Snowy’s dialogue – some of them are fairly obvious…..but some of them are fiendishly hidden in codes, anagrams and asides – all you have to do to win the competition is find as many of them as you can and name them. (If you think you have found one, try and name both the artist and the painting, or, if the answer is a book or poem, the author and the title. begin at the start of the thread and write the answers in the sequence that you find them). Because this has been so popular we are opening it up to all of our members – That’s right even is you haven’t participated in the forum. Just visit the thread, screenplay try to find as many paintings and artists which have been mentioned. / Then place your answers in a specially set up moderated thread that can only be seen by the group hosts – after they have been checked the winner will be announced. ................................................. The exhibition is called the “Painted Nation” put together by Creative Moods a subsidiary of Art shed supplies. A large number of artist’s works will be displayed I believe, the theme is based around the life style in Australia from the beaches to the inland with its vibrant color. / Anyway hope you don’t mind I have passed on the above, For those who are lucky enough to live in the Perth City area (It is Beautiful) I will include the location of the Exhibition.
