First snow of the coming winter on Pikes Peak. /
This shot was taken from the Garden of the Gods National Park. The Garden of the Gods is known for all of the sandstone rock fromations in the area. The Garden of the Gods is located in Colorado Springs, CO. One of the rock formation is called Siamese Twins because large duplicate structures are attached in the middle. At the mid point of this particular rock formation is a natural window that frames the mountains in the distance. This photo shows Pikes Peak through the natural window. Taken in June, Pikes Peak which is typically snow covered, has very little snow.
Kate kindly provided me with this beautiful owl and I used one of my Rivington Pike scene and gave the owl a new home! Sleeping.. CARD /
Photo taken by collegue Simon Frankel. Then edited in Photoshop by myself. Thankyou to Simon for allowing me to post the photo. This was not a sand storm as some may think. Just over the hill was a raging fire that was taking control in 2006. They were taken at Pike River during the bush fire that burnt out around 120,000 hectares of scrub just north of the Riverland. / It was a mixture of smoke, stormy grey cloud and some sun trying to break through.
This spot court my eye as we where driving back from Blea Tarn. The mountains in the back ground are the Langdale Pikes. / English Lake District.
Blea Tarn with Langdale Pikes in the background, Lake District, Cumbria. / In Spring, early evening light. From my visit there in April 2008. I hadn’t been back to the Lake District for 27 years (and it’s only 100 miles away!) I painted this to commemorate my return. / And I’ll be there again, next week (early October). Watercolour 12”x8”

I would love to donate 100% of the sales of this work during the next 60 days to the Phoenix Appeal in support of the burning bushfires in Australia! My best regards to all who suport this wonderful effort! / And every sale, Rebubble will match it and also donate to the appeal! This is one of my most favorite places that I go quite regular. This is a composite of photographs to give it a little more of a dramatic feel! Hope it works ? Canon 5D Zoom Lens 24-105mm
/ / / Taken at Gettysburg National Military Park in July 2008 with my old Kodak Z7590, using a color enhancing filter.
Just an hour before it had been snowing buckets. The storm passed but the remnants remained over Pikes Peak, Colorado. I used a color treatment-blue neutral.
Shot looking back on my journey up Scafell pike in the English lake district national park in Cumbria, this shot is of Wasdale and wastwater. / Shot with a Nikon D300 and 18-70mm lens. / Hdr’d and tonemapped in Photomatix and finished off in Photoshop. /
This terraced garden is found in Rivington Pike near the Pigeon Tower!
This arch is situated in Rivington Pike going down some steps leading towards the terrased gardens!
This lake is located in Black Forest, Colorado. The mountain peak in the background is Pikes Peak, ele. 14,110 ft. A storm was approaching from the mountain. The trees that are changing are called “aspens.”
Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 1/100 second, ISO100, tweaked in Photoshop Last weekend I went for a walk up Scaffel Pike (England’s highest mountain at 978 metres (3,209 ft)) with some friends, there was plenty of clouds in the Wastwater valley but as we climbed patches of sun light began shining through. This shot was taken about a third of the way up the walk at around 1000 feet. Please view large Sorry I have not been commenting much recently my PC died mid week and I have had to re-install Windows and all my software twice!!! Arrrgghh! If my PC fouls up again I may have to use a persuader on it (aka hammer)...lol!
