I drew this with pencil on a piece of paper in my sketchbook. I referred to a photo of my mother as a 10 years old, and somehow it ended up looking more like me. Many people mistake this to be my self-portrait. It’s funny that it turned out this way. Many people tell me I resemble my mother, and I don’t see that so much. Even as I was looking at my mother’s past photo, I wasn’t thinking that she looked like me, but in the end I see a portrait which looks like me. I drew this during my summer after grade 11 (age 17). At the time my mother was in Japan and I was missing her. Some photo reference of my mother and I. Do we look alike? This work has been featured in: / Pencil Drawing

Model – Meluxine These are some outtake/alternates from the same shoot as Apple Blossom Girl – I actually took LOTS of shots from that set and am having strife picking the final shots to use, and since I treat RB as an alt/outtake spot as well as a preview/never before seen/standard portfolio, I figured what the hell ;) This particular pair were shot on my late Grandfather’s Ensign Selfix 820 on god knows what film, Fuji NPS 160 I thiiiiink… or possibly Portra 400NC. I had no idea what to expect, having never put film through the damn thing before, so the fact they worked and looked delightfully dreamy was very cool. These are scanned from the 120 neg, straight off the camera – no editing aside from putting them next to each other and whacking my watermark on them. Woohoo. I wanted to try my strobe through a shoot through outside this cool looking mini brick wall with grass around. I just love these pictures of her! Sorry guys, I will probably upload a few of her from this session. It’s actually been awhile since you’ve seen some new stuff of Kaylie, the DIVA! She is 5 years old now and as sassy as ever!
