Had a great amount of luck when i took this shot. You have to love the friendly pigeons of Timisoara.
Piazza San Marco and its famous pigeons flying freely around Venice, Italy. Poster:
Were there is tourists there is pigeons, this is near the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Pigeons appear a great deal in my travel shots, and this is one I love with the water and the colours of the buildings, and of course the wonderful lamp posts. Watercolour filter applied as I liked the textured it added to the photo.
Ever since I was a kid I have absolutely loved Super Mario Bros. I guess this t-shirt had to happen. The latest installment in the super mario bros franchise: Super pigeon bros.

The Ross Doocot, in Learmonth Gardens, close to the Strawberry Bank area of Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland. Doocot is the Scots word for a building devoted to the domestication of pigeons. Built by the Barons Ross of Halkhead in the 16th century, to fattened pigeons as part of the winter diet, it is a circular beehive dovecot, containing 370 nesting boxes in its thick rubble walls, bound by three projecting rat-courses. Learmonth Gardens commemorate Alexander Learmonth, Provost of Linlithgow, 1802-1807. A Provost is the Scots equivalent of a Mayor. The Ross Doocot is an Historic Scotland Category A Listed Building (HB Number 37468). Three bracketed JPGs converted to HDR in Photomatix. Taken with a Canon 400D, Sigma 17-70 lens at 36mm, F11, 1/5 second shutter speed, ISO 100, edited in Photoshop. The Pigeon Tower at Rivington. This tower sits at the northwestern edge of the Oriental Gardens, and originally had three stories, with the top room being Lady Lever’s sewing room and the lower two levels housing ornamental doves and pigeons. Just behind this tower Lord Leverhulme built a large bungalow. It was set on fire by one of the Suffragette’s in protest. He built another one on the same site. Cost of the gardens and new bungalow 250,000 pounds in 1925! The gardens are overgrown and the bungalow has gone, but you still see some of the stone flooring.
Mixed media work, being a compination of fractal art and a cut out of Ted’s photographs of a pigeon. I used the tools of photoshop to get the endresult. / Graphic designwork: Thea Walstra CanDuCreations / Photographic work: Ted Widen / CanDuCreations / /
I often see a group of pigeons flying in a somewhat circular pattern over the rooftops in the mornings, shortly after sunrise. There doesn’t appear to be any particular reason, other than for the shear joy of flight. I would do it too, if I could :) This image starts with a dramatic evening sky that was breaking up at the end of a rainy day. The herd of pigeons is actually two different shots; one pack going to the right, and the other to the left, are the same group of pigeons. Using Photoshop’s clone tool, I used the trees that were in the original sky image to eliminate the rooftop that was along the bottom.

The dove shape and the rose in this mixed media work are symbols for Love and Peace. I think everybody can use more of it. This work is created with Apophysis 2.08 beta and Photoshop by adding a cut-out of a beautiful rose in full bloom and some postwork. Designer: Thea Walstra / /
The English seem to take delight in feeding pigeons. It is often about the worst thing that can be done for either the birds or the environment. Taken with an Exacta camera on Kodachrome film.
We were looking for all the pigeons on Trafalgar Square. We only found two, a few blocks away… Shot with Holga, black and white film.
Gentleman’s Walk, Norwich on Christmas Day. Strange to think it would’ve been teeming with people only the day before! Here the only major signs of life were the lone man on a bicycle, and a flock of pigeons that had just taken flight…and Paul and I, of course :) Textures from here and here. I also used one of my own. Featured in Freedom to Shine, December 2009.
