This shot was taken at Huntington Beach, CA, USA.
This photo was taken during early on a winter day with the clouds rolling in over the ocean.
I took this on a recent trip to Brighton, and got up early so I could catch some cool light, and the dynamics of what was a very rough sea… well… comparitively. Brighton Pier is one of the classic 19th century piers in the UK, amusements on the end, kiss me quick hats for sale and so on… Black and white has given the picture an edge over the colour version….
This old man was enjying looking at the birds and the sea just by the central pier in Blackpool, UK.

Here’s a nice accident! It was to be a photo of my hubby but decided to make it all about me for once!! Ohh… And this is probably as close as we get to having a photo taken together these days!
Early morning in Port Phillip Bay
A photo of St-Simeon’s pier, the most beautiful place I saw when I went for my little 3 days trip. While taking this shot ,a nice couple on a moto talked to me ,I ask for a little auberge to sleep for the night and they decided to invite me to their home. That’s Quebec,I would have done the same but it was a first for me…couldn’t believe it.I sent some photos by email and they were very happy. They are living at five minutes from there in a beautiful place called La Malbaie near the St-Lawrence river. The same day in the afternoon I took «Pointe-au-Père» and in the evening the sky became lavander blue,a real dream. / / /

Geelong Waterfront – 120 seconds @ f16 After a few colour landscapes i like to dabble in black and white. I hope you don’t mind.

Frankston Pier. Another seascape study in black and white. As I was taking photo of this pier in Frankston, Victoria, a local came by and told me story of this pier. It was built in 1857 so fishermen could ship their catches to Melbourne. It had known better days and seen ladies in long dresses and fancy hats as by mid 1880s Frankston was gradually becoming something like a holiday resort. Hard to imagine all these now, but I was told, the local council has started the refurbishment and timber top has already been removed. I personally like the pier like this, it makes a nice minimalistic seascape. Canon EOS 5D / Canon EF 24-105 IS Lens / Apperture: F 9 / Speed: 60 seconds / FL: 24 / Hoya NDX400 filter, Lee ND Grad 0.9
