I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. I saw the reflection of that “prisoned” tree in the window, while I was enjoying a mountain climb here in Macedonia, a moment before i could see it free. It gave me a thought of what are we doing to our mother nature and couldn’t resist to pull the shutter of my camera as a modest contribution to a free green planet.

God promised his people that he would make streams in the desert. This lush place is near Ft. Carson, The Mountain Post, in Southern Colorado. This Army post has had a huge number of casualties from the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. This picture is dedicated to the families of these soldiers who feel like they are lost in a desert. The terrain in the surrrounding area is very desert like. There is just this one area where it is lush.
