Pup was feeding from it’s sleeping mother while dad was telling me I had got close enough.
So there I was, just out for a walk along the beach at sunset. The explosive thermo-nuclear sunset to the west was begging for my attention, but to the east was this little black cloud, hoping to slip by un-noticed and join in all the sunset fun with the other clouds. I caught him in no man’s land, with nowhere to hide. I let rip with a 12 megapixel onslaught, and the rest is history. This image is brand new and will be removed when the quota is reached. In other words: it’s a limited edition. Crops and resizes by request. For more, see my portfolio. Ta.

From the San Juan Islands while whale watching for Orcas. This was taken with a crappy camera so the Quality isn’t the best but it is still high enough to be enjoyable :) / Red-Orange colors are edited.. or practically fake Cokin ;P.

Photo taken from the bridge (deck 6) of our trusty little ship Polar Pioneer while crossing Drakes Passage. It was taken one handed as I held on for grim death with the other, lol. The ship was built as an ice breaker, as a result it has a much more rounded hull and NO stabilisers. During the first 24 hours of the crossing we had constant 8 meter seas coming at a 45 degree angle on the port beam. During the second 24 hours nothing much had changed except the seas had increased to 10+ meters. Made for interesting meal times. 100% of proceeds received from Redbubble in respect to sales of this item, will be donated to Bush Heritage Australia
Location / St Margaret’s Bay, Kent, England August 2009: Taken 45 minutes before sunrise and facing away from where the sun rises from. The glow of red above the famous white cliffs are those from the docks at Dover which handles the cross channel ferries to France (one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world)
Changed the color tones and added the rainbow.
