Limited edition Solarplate etching. It started as a life drawing in brush with chinese ink, which I photographed and slightly altered in Photoshop, to soften the washes. I printed the image onto OHP film and exposed it in the sun onto solarplate, then developed it (washed away the unexposed areas) in water, finally printing it just like an etching. For those who know what I’m talking about, I also used a dot screen.

This is the second in the thoughts series exploring identity, thoughts, and structure of personality through genetics. I have layered a self portrait on top of writing and the placed a brain scan that has been etched into onto a solar Photopolymer plate.

This is a print about my friend who used to be a ‘rude’ boy who loved ska and reggae. He always used to wear rockabilly/ Rude boy clothes and have a great quiff. I have layered it with text, and other images of his outline along with the original photo I took. This is a Solar Photopolymer Plate Etching that was made in 2001.
