This is, if I have done it right, primarily created for a new (to me, anyway) group The Digital Interface, which is described, in part, as such: This group is aimed at those who wish to enhance or add to their art using Photoshop, Paintshop Pro and various other photographic software products. The primary aim of this group is to share ideas, resources, foster collaborations and encourage open discussion I wrote to a co-host, as one must do to join this group ( a fact which would have kept me firmly out of it for a few decades, due to shyness) and was told, as part of our in-depth conversation, that one must try to describe the journey of creation, as it were, in such a manner that someone else could mimic the steps, follow the process, or otherwise do the same thing. Only, he said it in fewer words, but then, he probably wasn’t dying from a sinus headache, at the time. I think! Anyway, this is my first attempt. Mind you, I’ve done other semi-tutorial pieces, but, I was mainly proving that digital art 1) is, too, art! and 2) not just manipulated photographs or work of others. I didn’t want anyone to follow my steps. So, we’ll see how I do. I think this is going to be way too long, though, so, I am about to cheat, for the sake of getting all the info on one page, by submitting this, with a link to the technical writing babble of the same name.

The rebellious “angel”, rejected and fallen, awaits permission to once again reside within his “father’s” house. ~ Photopainting; Ps +WACOM tablet Original stock photo Urban Grit stock 62 (courtesy of Tigg-stock@deviantart.com); processed in Lucis to emphasis detail, then hand “painted” using brushes/WACOM. Sometimes, just some of us, may have to take stock of our situation, pause and wonder if we’ve made the correct choices, knowing full well, that we shall have to abide in those choices we make. One of those times is often (for many) when we’re nearing “death’s door” or “heaven’s gate”. I for one have done so, more than once, in this lifetime… [and tonight the chill of lonely clings close again] ~ Background image of church; a photograph of the Cathedral steeples, Adelaide, Sth Australia
Billabong is an Australian English word meaning a small lake, specifically an oxbow lake, a stagnant pool of water attached to a waterway. Billabongs are usually formed when the path of a creek or river changes, leaving the former branch with a dead end. Despite some claims of a Scottish Gaelic origin, the word is most likely from the (Aboriginal) Wiradjuri term bilabaŋ. Billabongs appear relatively often in Australian literature. One of the most prominent references is in the opening line of Banjo Paterson’s famous folk song “Waltzing Matilda”. There is an excellent Larger view (1280×1040) version here which would look great on your wall ;-) ~ Reference, “as is” photograph used… /

Came across this shed/scene — in a friend’s “backyard” — that appears to be used for an eating/kitchen area as well. Sheep-dip, and poison weed-killer, alongside empty beer cans, microwave ovens, fridge, petrol cans, cups and plates — would you really want to eat off this table? ~ Photo-paint; Corel Painter Essentials 4 + Photoshop/Lucis filter, layered and blended. ~ Go here it you want to see a larger view of this image
