On the walk to the Valley of the Winds at Katja Tjuta (the Olgas) Northern Territory – Australia. There are three large rock outcroppings in a nearly perfect line in this area of NT. From east to west they are: / - Mt. Conner (Artila) – a flat-topped horseshoe-shaped inselberg rising 300m (984 ft) above the surrounding ground-level; / - Uluru (Ayers Rock) – the largest known monolith on earth – visible from space. A single sandstone rock Uluru is 9.7km around the base, and sacred to the local aboriginal tribes. If you visit, please respect their traditions, and do not climb on the rock – treat it with reverence / - Katja Tjuta (The Olgas) – a conglomerate rock formation, with a great feeling of wisdom.
