Walking to a view point of Fox Glacier, in New Zealand, we crossed this beautiful waterfall. It is times like these, that you don’t wish to be anywhere else. Further down, we had to cross this over slippery rocks and rushing water. It is a wonder I didn’t fall in. Fox Glacier is part of the Westland Tai Poutini National Park (established 1960) which extends from the highest peaks of Kā Tiritiri o te Moana/Southern Alps to the remote beaches of the wild West Coast. It is an area of magnificent primeval vistas; snow-capped mountains, glaciers, forests, tussock grasslands, coast, lakes, rivers and wetlands. This world-class scenic landscape has been recognised as such with World Heritage status. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and timelapse/long exposure of 1 second, handheld (leaning on a railing).

ok I hesitated publishing this one because I feel the colors are a little to vibrant but I decided to let you all be the judge of that. Such a mighty stream! No surprise that the waters of Trümmelbach are so powerful; the area this brook drains includes the famous glaciated mountain trio Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau... Lauterbrunnental, Switzerland. July 2008. Canon EOS 300X, Sigma 28-135, Manfrotto tripod. Post-processing: retouch, tonality adjustment, sharpening, colorize, crop to square, subtle frame.

The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area in northeastern Pennsylvania boasts many beautiful streams and waterfalls. This stream, in the Childs Park Recreation Area above Fulmer Falls happened to catch my eye, captured in full springtime flow. This is the church of St Winnow, which lies on the banks of the River Fowey, just below Lostwithiel in Cornwall, England. The church was featured in the 1977 BBC series of Poldark, which starred Anghard Rees and Robin Ellis, as Ross Poldark. This capture was shot in colour, but converted to B+W with an IR filter in CS3.
