An experiment with water droplets, glitter, a CD, wrapping paper and light. I had some metallic paper reflecting in the CD and the flash from my camera made it very interesting with all the glitter. This is the kind of thing I do when it’s too cold to go outside…. haha. Enjoy!

Simply put … daisies are my favorite flower so this photo was done a little selfishly just for me! Taken with Canon Powershot I have also used this photograph as a design for a business card, which I have been selling through my Zazzle account.

For our final school exhibit we were given the theme “My Space”. I decided to make it “My Space Inavsion” for my personal theme. I then took portrait shots of all the people who have invaded my space both positively and negatively. They are then displayed in a space along with and empty bird cage with its door open, a body cast with the freed bird on its finger and then the portraits (A4) all displayed around the space individually. Then the idea is that when you enter the space to view the exhibit, you invade my space with your presence. It also goes that my art, is my space, it frees my spirit ( like the bird) and allows me to be me in my space… These aren’t all the portraits as there are over 30 potraits and the collage would be weird with all of them. The extent of your consciousness is limited only by your ability to love and to embrace with your love the space around you, and all it contains. Napoleon Bonaparte Featured In Collective Collage

My new found love in photography is mixing layers and layers of images. I have already had some wonderful finds of layered work in reflections but this kind of editing brings it to a whole other level. Finding what works well with another image is a challenge. But one that I enjoy very much. I have learned the in’s and out’s of working with layers by trial and error. If you’re thinking of giving this a try, I hope you will give your self time and not worry about the failures.
