  • Self Portrait This photo was taken in Laos, at the beautiful waterfalls near a town called Luang Provang. the figure in the picture is me, this spot looked interesting to me so I showed my friend the exact poze i want her to take the picture. and that’s how it turned out. The sun going down made me look like a silhouette, and i think that this is what makes this photo unique. best viewed large

  • The teddy you see in the image has been with me since i was about 10. My father found it at a turn off while driving home and gave it to me and called it ‘turn off’. I have not seen this teddy for years since moving home and starting my own family. My mother recently gave it to one of my girls and as soon as i saw it i remembered who he was. Felt it was only appropriate to use him as a prop and shoot my girl with him. He originally also had a vest and a cowboy style hat.. / My relationship with my father is not good. Never has been and never will be. I guess when he gave me the bear i was still able to be loved by him. Or, he just had no one else to give it to at the time / / canon 40D my website / my blog / / /

  • THIS IS A BIG IMAGE VIEW LARGER FOR BEST RESULTS Isnt it a buzz when you get that perfect light, the shades of day as it is born, as the first rays light up an already magnificent view ? For those viewing, commenting and favouriting if i’m lucky thank you This shot was taken from Echo Point in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area at dawn, it was created from 5 bracketed images using a Nikon D300 fitted with a Nikon 18-200mm. No filters were used. The image was taken at sunrise certainly a great view. The Blue Mountains are located 2 hours west of Sydney by road, also by train for visitors to Sydney, there are also organised day trips via motor coach that will take you to the area for the day…. though if you have the time spend a few days in the area. You can see all the attractions, have a devonshire tea in one of the many teahouses, or sit on the edge of the valley that seems to go on forever, and listen to the birdlife. Bushwalking is a must ! Equipment : D300 Nikon 18-200mm lens / Technique: HDR 5 Exposures Photomatix Framed See Also /

  • Sutton Bank is a high vantage point at the very edge of the Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors with extensive views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray. Because of its location and high elevation, Sutton Bank is popular with gliding and flying enthusiasts. Predominant landmarks include Whitestone Cliff and Roulston Scar, the former overlooking the mysterious (and reputedly bottomless !) Lake Gormire. Close nearby are the villages of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliff, and Kilburn (famous for the White Horse of Kilburn, and Robert Thompson – the “Mouseman” of Kilburn). / Sutton Bank is one of the most spectacular inland cliffs anywhere in Britain, and carries one of the most hair-raising main roads in the country. The near vertical drop from top to bottom is around 140 metres, and crosses at least two major geological boundaries. / The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is on the western edge of the fabulous North York Moors National Park – home to the largest expanse of heather moorland in England. It provides the perfect introduction to the National Park, its people, history and wildlife. Nikon D60 / HDR in Photomatix & pp in PS CS3 / Lens: Nikkor 18-200mm / 1/160 f/9.0 ISO200
