It’s not easy striking a pose on a 10 second timer / (and throwing your heart into it!) but I think / I pulled it off… Happy (early) Valentine’s Day to you all. ;)
This is what happens when I get flowers- I smile, take care of them and arrange them, and then I get out my camera to take lots of pictures! I love flowers, especially roses- simple yet complex, delicate, eternal beauties. I tried to show that in this image I created in photoshop, and just looking at it gives me a feeling of serene happiness. Hope you enjoy it too! / / / See other flowers
Another of the flowers from my show on flowers and poems to her. “She had been broken and as I gained her trust then she opened up to me and what I saw was her never ending beauty” Hope you enjoy
This is another of the flowers from my show and poems for her. “As I watched her age over the years every new line in her face made her look more beautiful today then when I first met her 20 years ago she to me was my eternal flower”
This beautiful Rose was crying out to be photographed, then I came along and ruined it. This is not one of the flowers from my show and poems for her but will be in my book. I kiss your lips my lovely dove your trembling in my arms. / Your here tonight to give yourself it’s you that wants not I. / You settle into my arms and touch my face so soft. / And then you kiss me on my neck and tell me I am loved. / You come to me my precious love your hands shake from your fear. / You touch me where you’ve never gone I feel your pounding heart. / I hear you say that its ok you want this more than I. / But my love for your virtue tonight I must deny. / I want you too my body says my mind says this is wrong. / I want to hold you in my arms as any man would do. / But something says I need to wait until that time is right. / And look at you with loving eyes and not with shame tonight. / I feel like we are cheating two kids out in the car. / But here we are both adults but love this isn’t right. / I want to say please baby lets just wait awhile. / And then when your my lovely wife I’ll know the time is right. / And then I’ll look you in the eyes without one ounce of doubt.

I shot this image on November 2, 2008 right after our first rain in many months…..the roses seemed almost jubilent and full of life after the torrential and much welcomed downpour…...the sun was just peaking through the clouds for a short time, and the glow was made in heaven….......I hope you see the beauty and feel the peace just as I….... / / This image is copyright protected and registered.MCN:CooBF-008E9-42CBA / ___ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. Experimenting with a very simple vintage effect … if you like it, I’ll post a tutorial. The process requires layers and while I did it in photoshop, I can’t see why it wouldn’t work in Elements. It is very effective on portraits also. I picked out these roses for my father to give my mother for Valentine’s Day. They’re such a deep red color and the petals are velvety…almost black. I love those type of roses. I used a really low white balance when I shot this to give it a more bluish tone. Enjoy!

The moonlight was shining through my front porch window as I gave my miniature roses a ‘bedtime shower’, and the light was beautifully highlighting certain areas, while silhouetting other parts of the rose buds. Hope you like it. / Thank you for looking. Best Viewed Large.
