This was taken on the Wellington River near Licola in Victoria. A 15 second exposure allowed the reflections of the green foliage to blend smoothly together on the running water. / ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature

Image by photographer Glennis Siverson, www.glennisphotos.com This beautiful water reflection scene is at the end of the trail in Reed Flute Cave, located near the city of Guilin, China. I shot this on 35mm film, then had it converted to a high res tiff file. There was no editing done to this….. it is really that lovely! This is one of the last images I shot on film before making a complete transition to digital.

SOME THINGS LOOK MORE BEAUTIFUL AT NIGHT AND ONE OF THE THEM IS LAKE CHELAN AT NIGHT . LOOK AT THE REFLECTION IN THE WATER, The Lake Chelan Valley sits in central Washington State, nestled in the North Cascades National Forest. The Chelan Valley encompasses the communities of Chelan, Manson & Stehekin. This pristine, 50.5 mile glacier-fed lake is 1.5 miles at its widest and 1486 ft. at its deepest point. The population of the valley consists of 10,000 year-round residents and several hundred more part-time residents. Roads extend less than halfway to the headwaters of Lake Chelan. Beyond the end of the road, rugged snowcapped peaks rise over 7,000 feet from the lakeshore. Dark evergreens cover the mountainsides. Deep valleys rise from the lake to massive glaciers in the heart of the North Cascades. At the upper end of Lake Chelan, limited, local roads do not connect the communities of Stehekin and Holden Village to the outside world. Just another day …...... Rota Island – August 2009 / straight out of the camera / Life on this island is friendly and unhurried and the hospitality is as unforgettable as the magical sunsets. Rota Island is a natural playground with around 3000 inhabitants and is known by many to be Micronesia’s best-kept secret / Rota (Chamoru: Luta) also known as the “peaceful island”, is the southernmost island of the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and the second southernmost of the Marianas Archipelago. It lies approximately 40 miles north-northeast of the United States territory of Guam. Songsong village is the largest and most populated followed by Sinapalo village (Sinapalu). In 1521, the first European to see Rota, was the lookout on Magellan’s ship Victoria, Lope Navarro. However, Magellan’s Armada of three ships didn’t stop until they reached Guam, so the first European to arrive in Rota (in 1524), was Spanish navigator Juan Sebastian Elcano, who annexed it together with the rest of the Marianas Archipelago on behalf of the Crown of Spain. Rota has diverse flora and fauna.. / Wikipedia ©2009/2010 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.
