  • Yes, we have all seen them, the people who manage to walk right in front of you when you are taking a shot, the ones who don’t move knowing you are going to photograph and sit there in total arrogance…..or the ones who refuse to move at all. I find that when this happens, I generally say this and they almost run away as fast as they can!

  • I travelled through Buenos Aries recently on my way to Antarctica and I took a pretty eclectic range of camera’s with me. One of them was a little Russian Lomo which is a small failed spy camera much loved by artist/photographers everywere for its strange effects. Anyway it didn’t perform so well in the real cold but I took some interesting shots with it on my first day in Argentina. This one is of a very very tall and narrow building in the downtown area of the city. Shot with Iford HP5 and with minimal post production.

  • A rustic gatepost New Zealand D. I. Y. style. / / /

  • Rymill Coonawarra Winery , South Australia. Stephen Chapple and I will displaying our work in this amazing winery during the Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival .

  • The provincetown beach areas have these fences, mostly along the roads, which prevent the sand from migrating on to the road. I love these areas for the everchanging landscape and, well, there’s just something about sand on your feet… Black and white work is somewhat of a departure for me but after living with this one for a while I began to like it a lot. Something about the contrasting geometric shapes of the fence and the rolling dunes brought into stark contrast which otherwise, might go unnoticed in a color rendition.
