Captured digitally using a Sony Alpha 100 at the Southern Cross Station in Melbourne.. This image was the winner of the “best alternative medium” at the ” Artbeat 2006 – Hung Art Competition and Exhibition ” August 2006. Also the winner of “Peoples Choice Award” at The Digital/Hardcopy exhibition at The Gasworks Gallery in Albert Park October 2006. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image will be on display and for sale at the Strathcona Art show 7th – 9th September 2007 at Tay Creggan in Hawthorn. / The image will be presented framed, matted & signed. Shot this back in November, 2004, when the grass was much greener, and there was water in the dam. There’s only been water in that dam one other time since then, and it lasted around 6 weeks….this is a nice reminder of what we used to have…. Sold this a number of times pre-redbubble, mostly A3 size, and it won me a $1500 prize from the Brisbane City Council, as well the John Herbert medal at APSCON 2005, and also a number of other smaller prizes. This was sold december 2008 on redbubble as a matted print. It’s Easter today and my mom stopped over early to give these to me, I took a picture of them to make them last forever. Today is a beautiful sun shiny day, the sky is so blue with puffy white clouds. Well I better get busy and put the Ham in the oven….............Happy Easter !!!!!!
