Gundagai, New South Wales, Australia / This is part of the Gundagai Rail Viaduct across the Murrumbidgee floodplain – it is 819m long consisting of 72 timber trusses, the longest timber truss structure ever built in Australia, and a steel bridge over the main channel of the river. It was constructed in 1903 when the railway line from Cootamundra to Gundagai was extended to Tumut.
