Nearby Peel Forest Park is a beautiful and well known forest of native bush and is a protected area full of bird life. / This fantail does not look happy to see me but I think it’s more a case of catching him in a bad pose because they normally look way friendlier than this little chap! / In short erratic flights they will flit a few feet from your face, tails extended in their fan shape, catching insects as they fly….they almost seem to flirt with you. / They can also be found in home gardens and other man made environments…wherever there are trees and shrubs. They are delightful little birds. / / /
