This is a rather old image from the bottom of my big box of negatives that I’m slowly converting to digital files. I had been out on a fashion shoot and at the end of it I found I had 2 frames left. So on the way home with the model I stopped in at Graffitti Hall of Fame in Alexandria which is one of the inner city suburbs of Sydney. In this digital age its hard to imagine having faith in taking a good picture with only two goes at it but there you are! I got the model on to the roller and shot one from the front and with the very last frame shot this one. I hope you like it as much as I do. :) This is what it looks like framed

A beautiful Coral Tree growing on the side of the road on Caulderwood Road at Albion Park, NSW, Australia.
Could’nt resist adding this shot, from many model shoots I have done.
From the same model shot (Little red bow).

As the photo comp comes to a close we thought it might be fun to take a journey. First around the world, through some of the entries in the Europe and USA categories and then through the genres. The contrasts of black and white, gritty reportage and street imagery. Striking faces and commercial imagery and finally we’ll stop in some of this worlds amazing nature and landscapes. See you at the other end – and don’t forget to enter if you haven’t already. Entries close at midnight.

Taken from the shoreline looking North across the Moray Firth from West of Cove Bay and East of Hopeman in Moray Scotland. I stumbled on this location not so long ago and instantly recognised these rocks from an image that is one of my all-time favourite seascapes. The image ‘Lilac Light’, is by the outstanding photographer Ian Cameron. If you get the chance have a look at his work. Truly dedicated to photography and a huge inspiration. Have a look here and/or here and/or Nikon D80 / Manual / 1/20sec. at f8 / ISO 100 / Nikon 18.0-70.0mm f/3.5-4.5 at 18mm / Hitech 1.2 ND soft Grad. / Manfrotto 190XPROB / 804RC2 / Cable release
Taken from the shoreline looking North across the Moray Firth from West of Cove Bay and East of Hopeman in Moray Scotland. I had noticed this location previously on other shoots but on this occasion the outgoing tide was managing to send the odd surge up and down the ‘track’. The slow shutter speed allowed enough time for reflected sky colours to be captured. Nikon D80 / Manual / 2sec. at f22 / ISO 100 / Nikon 18.0-70.0mm f/3.5-4.5 at 18mm / Hitech 1.2 ND soft Grad. / Manfrotto 190XPROB / 804RC2 / Cable release
