When I first started I thought that NEW WORK was NEW YORK. So I thought this guy that called himself NEW YORK was creating a heck of a lot of work! NEW YORK, NEW YORK, NEW YORK … Ah, my poor simple brain. Albert

Well what a surprise that was! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see it, but our shot Right of Way was featured on the Redbubble homepage. Thanks to all of you who have viewed and commented on the work and to those of you watching what we do we hope to add some new stuff in the coming week or so. The one shame is that we found out late – wouldn’t it be nice if they sent you an email on the day when something like that happens? Hey Redbubble, would that work? It has an amazing effect on your confidence to know that someone thinks enough of work you’ve done to show it to, essentially, the world. It has been a good start for us in this wonderful community: friendly comments, people “favouriting” work, a feature in the New York City group with Off Duty (thanks Judith!), a couple of sales and now a homepage feature. Here’s hoping we can carry on like this!! Peace Andy and Natalia

Some of my photos were included in a feature in which readers can contribute their photos of how the recession has hit people around the world. I have been doing quite a bit of traveling over the past year, so I have seen it hit different places. The underlying need is common, but so too is the humanity that can be displayed at such trying times. France: A protest by students in the Latin Quarter: / Young men trying to sell trinkets to tourists at the Eiffel Tower: / In Singapore: If you have the time, the feature is worth looking through. There are a number of heart-wrenching photos in there, but an equally uplifting number, which demonstrate how much people are doing to help one another during this tough time. Click here to add photos or view those already contained in the feature.

Sorry I’ve not been viewing and commenting on all the lovely works that have been added!! I promise to catch up soon! Carey and I took a trip up to the tip of Australia, by way of a plane from Cairns to Weipa, then a 4WD up the Peninsula Development Road to Bamaga from where we toured around Cape York before driving back down to the Archer River Roadhouse, then across to Chili Beach and back across the state to Weipa. Just got back last night and have 2,300 photos to sort through. / Bit daunting to be honest LOL Stay tuned.
