Self Portrait / Alright I want to warn you all ! (Warning) lol I am currently learning how to do self portraits so this may be a little rough around the edges if you know what I mean, I don’t normally photograph people especially not myself, but here I am trying to go for it… Hope to learn lots from all of this work, The work has all been done by me. I used the timer on the camera, which is a Kodak V1003 digital zoom 3x

Most know of Pakistan as a third world fanatical Muslim country full of terrorists. I have lived in Pakistan, my parents were born and raised there and though it has its many faults it also has its many beauties, its many treasures and many things that I love and cherish. At Work is a picture of my maid, Sakina in her small and modest home where I captured her hands as she used two rocks to grind herbs and spices to make that nights meal. This is a method still used in homes where a mechanical grinder is a luxury and not a necessity. According to Sakina and her mother, herbs ground on a rock maintain the rich flavors that are often lost by all our machines.

Norway, the most beautiful country in the world – or so I personally think. Endlessly inspiring, every view mesmerising, I love it. I have tried to emphasise the ever-present tranquility by focusing on this pile of stones, quite a common site in western norway incidentaly. / I hope you like it!

I took this photo of a wren last year, but I didn’t do much with it because I didn’t like the background. Now that I’m experimenting with layers and textures, I thought I’d have another whack at it and came up with this image. I’ve named it Mother Wren at Work. I love the way wrens always add soft mosses and lichen to their nests and the way they build a tiny dome like structure often inside potted ferns and plants on the patio. They are master constructionists and best of all they sing joyfully and powerfully. This tiny bird’s song is truly bigger than its body! Please view larger; Mrs. Wren would greatly appreciate it!
