Canon Powershot with IR filter “As Is” / Brandywine Falls Ohio / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Red Bubble’s First Book /// In the Moment /// Overall Winner / I found myself in Geneva for a week for work last year. The only other time I had been to Switzerland was Zurich for 2 nights in the middle of winter, so I was kind of surprised by the beautiful (and hot!) summer weather I experienced on this visit. / The Lake at Geneva is where everyone goes to cool off and I was mesmerised watching all these crazy dudes doing amazing things off a high-dive on the edge of the lake. I took a few shots and managed to capture this moment among them. / I entered this work into the 2007 Linden Gallery Post Card Show in St.Kilda, and was absolutely stoked to have been awarded one of the six entries to be reproduced as postcards and sold through the gallery.

This is a collaboration between my daughter, Brianna (13), and myself. :) She’s a fantastic photographer for her age..she amazes me much of the time. She showed me this photo that she took, and I begged her to let me work on it. :) (yes…I had to beg! Teenagers..ya know?) On the wide open plains of the Kruger National Park, South Africa, we happened upon this large, lone bull. He seemed to be going somewhere, as he detoured around us slightly, wary of our clicking and whispering. When the brief encounter was over, we both went on our way, perhaps, I’d like to think, better for the meeting…

This shot was taken at Newport Wharf which is located on the shores of Pittwater north of Sydney. Easily accessable by car or public transport. Its the kind of place where you can wind down at the end of the day with a cold beer or a glass of Australian Chardonnay and watch the sun set in the west.. This is my neighbourhood about 5 minutes from my home, “Just a Little Touch of Paradise.” we get some great sunsets ! / So if youre visiting Sydney areas like this are within 40 klms of the city Nikon D300, 5 bracketted images , hand held, NO FILTERS NO COLOUR MANIPULATION just pure HDR.
