  • Grand Canyon, August 2001 During the days I was there every day around 3 pm clouds would come up (or rather down into the canon) and a short shower of rain or even a quick thunderstorm would happen – bringing some needed refreshment when hiking around there. This view is from the southern rim, shortly after the end of one such rainfall, when the clouds were breaking up again. ++ Scan from slide film (Fujifilm Sensia ISO 200)

  • I was stuck in traffic today for 2 1/2 hrs So I decided to get creative – I had a camera in my bag and started shooting the traffis then came the big storm the biggest storm I think I have ever driven in – caused these photo’d to change even more. This photo is straight from my camera completely unedited. I call it Traffic cos’ that’s what the subject was. It was taken some where between Ashgrove & Enoggrra, Brisbane, Qld. Thaws a surreal night!

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Beautiful and Green Since receiving some wonderful Spring rain, the countryside has changed from a brown to a beautiful green!!! A Vineyard near Mudgee, New South Wales.

  • This spectacular orange flower attracted me even in the rain. It was growing out the front of a nursery. Taken with my Sony Cybershot 4.1 using the macro feature (that I was experimenting with).

  • SNOWSTORM Best viewed large. A major snowstorm swept into my area overnight here in northeastern Kentucky, and so far I have about 6 inches of snow on the ground. It looks like a Winter Wonderland outside! / So far the freezing rain is still south of me headed east, but it is supposed to push up into my area by early afternoon. If that happens then we will have a real mess here with ice on top of all this snow! / All the local schools have shut down today, as well as our local Community College. The State Police were on tv early this morning telling motorists not to get on the roads unless they absolutely have to. We are expecting the ice to come next, and then 2-4 more inches of snow to fall on top of that later this evening and overnight. Temperatures are presently sitting at a chilly 25 degrees. / This is our second significant snowfall this Winter, and areas in higher elevations woke up to over a foot of snow! I took this photo this morning, then added a few lighting and layering effects in Photoshop. I later experimented with the Orton effect until I reached the opacity and image I desired.

  • Hadrian’s Villa (Villa Adriana in Italian) is a large Roman archaeological complex at Tivoli, Italy. (Source: Wikipedia) Emperor Hadrian was the third of the “Five Good Emperors”. Though when life in the palace was too much for him, he needed a place to retreat. He therefore had a villa built in Tivoli as his retreat from Rome; though eventually he began governing the Roman empire from the villa. Taken on October 10, 2008 / Tivoli, Italy On this day we first visited Villa d’Este: It was a very rainy day and was rather glum by the time we got to the Villa. This photo is an edited version of this: / / / When we arrived we first took shelter and our prof gave us a lecture: Then a cat that somehow got in ran through my legs: And eventually many people (including myself :P) were looking at the cat instead of listening to the lecture lol.
