Morning light skims across green ferns and massive tree trunks in the cool region of the Haunted Stream, Victirian High Country. Once this location,Dawson City, was a Township of 3,000 people who logged and worked this region.

Swanes Rose Nursery here in Sydney is holding a photographic competition for Mothers Day … this has resulted in an overabundance of sweet, rain-soaked rose shots on my already overloaded external drive!! This particular photo has today received Photo of the Day on www.digitalimagecafe.com site in the Macro Category. Another former Flickr image….. This one was shot over my back fence, standing on tippy-toes, bracing against my kids swing set, at full 300mm zoom….. / All because we’d just had a downpour & there was this gorgeous golden light around the Gum trees…. / Of course I then had to go & put texture all over it. [my own textures used]
