This is a piece I did to go towards one of my favorite songs by the rapper Lil Wayne. I colored him in greenish blue color to give him a alien feel and one arm up pointing upwards, some what of an ET form of phoning home to relate to the song Phone Home. I have the superdome to be his UFO to bring him home New Orleans, Louisiana!.....this piece might have a little reworking later but for now I’m sticking to this format. In the small village of Upton in Nottinghamshire, there still stand an icon of an era now disappearing rapidly. These red phone boxes are as much an icon of England as is the double decker busses or the black taxi cabs of London. Many villages are so attached to the phone boxes that they are fighting councils to keep them, even offering to buy the boxes to keep them where they stand. I guess there are just somethings that we fight to keep the same in a rapidly changing world, almost like security blankets. I don’t have a problem with the sentiment, because as in this case, I really like the phone boxes. But we need to realize that even though things around us change the one unchanging fact is this, Jesus is still there and he still loves us. That never will change. I had just dropped off my Nikon D80 to get fixed… they had to replace the censor. Anyway this was, of course, on our way home and all I had was my iPhone… Not too shabby for a phone camera! I try not to think of the shots I could have had with my real camera lol!!! / oh and it’s THROUGH the windshield of my van lol! April 09 iphone camera!!!
