  • My origami calendar A sailboat folded out of a 6×10mm piece of paper rowing along the lifeline in my palm. Wow I didn’t realize my hand had all these lines :P. I didn’t turn this into a black and white this time because I managed to get a cool light on my hand to make it more waterlike. The flow of life is parrallel to a journey off the land. It begins smooth, then the waves of adulthood brings high tides which we must overcome, However at the end of the ride, everything is smooth again. Ironically the lifeline in my palm depicts this flow; it begins smooth, then there is a big split and begin to ruffle, but towards the end it comes back together again. This concept was originally generated in May 2008, but I bought a tripod later on and re-shot this on September 2, 2009 For a better idea of scale: / / / This work has been featured in: / Two Word Challenge Works by Category / Featured/Popular / Origami/Ori-plastic / Drawings,Paintings and Graphics / Flowers, Trees and Plants / Water and Waterscapes / Scenery / Light, Shadow, and Reflections / Living Creatures / Human Portrait / Japanfluence / Canada / Still Life More origami: / / More hands: / More lines/abstracts: / / / / / / For more images please visit the category links at the top.

  • This is a PS composite of three Holga shots, the Frisco skyline, a window on Alcatraz and me on the tube in London. What I am trying to say here is that deep underneath everything that exists, there is a filthy window, and if you can peer through this darkness and into your imprisoned inner being you can see …... ....that the fucking Northern Line is suspended again.

  • A fanciful depiction of the psyche of a Replicant, which has the form of a human, yet the soul of blasphemous creation, a Golem, a Frankenstein, a tormented being, anxious and deranged, knowing its time is short and its end inevitable. The spider patterning exudes the replicant’s un-empathic nature, the thing that separates them from humans. If you haven’t, check out Philip K. Dick’s Novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. It is brilliant. See also:

BEST VIEWED LARGE MARCH 2009 FEATURED IN Digital Brushstrokes group Part of the Nature Characters Series When I first saw the Illawarra Flame Tree I was amazed at the beauty of its colour and silently asked Jesus to bless the tree. It was the memory of my request that gave me to inspiration for this painting which I did using the air-brush and painting tools on my computer and using the photograph below as the reference…with some artistic license. • / / nurture / The act of nourishing or nursing; tender care; education; training; That which nourishes; food; diet; The environmental influences that contribute to the development of an individual; see also nature; to nourish or nurse / en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nurture Media – pencil and photoshop / Substrate – paper I can’t explain this, ‘cept to say, it’s inspired by our connection with nature and the fragility of life itself sometimes, the message coming through is to nurture life by way of fostering goodwill toward one another and accepting we have a duty of care to our natural world also. Because Easter is approaching I thought it appropriate :) The child’s sustenance, or umbilical cord if you like is coming from a tree, symbolic of the healing that nature can bring….the new life and growth that comes with nurture both of spirit and of nature. Humility is understanding our rightful place in the scheme of all things, including nature, family structure and the wider community…... a world where there is tolerance for all, is the one i pray for

  • A cord beats with my heart in patterns that I usually ignore. I try to synchronize to the sounds of those around and it only hurts my ears, my soul, my brain, by slow sluggish attempt to live as a “normal” person. There are many chords that flow through my being. Once I hear them I am happy if I follow their song. Other cords strangle and other connect to living energy and others are simply chains. Beat, beat, beat, my heart which thinks it is more than muscle just as my brain thinks it is more than tissue, just as my eyes believe they see, just as my touch feels it is something more than a dream of of of of of of … / What? That’s the point. I don’t know. Yet I do. Cords and Chords. Acrylic on paper
